Tig Notaro and Stephen Colbert Have a Lovely Chat as Comedians from the South That Have No Southern Accent

Tig Notaro and Stephen Colbert are both as charming as could be in this interview. In fact, this could have gone for a few more segments and we bet everyone would probably be on board.

Barack Obama to Start This Week Off at Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and End It at Real Time with Bill Maher

With his appearance coming the Friday before the election on Tuesday, November 8th, Obama’s appearance on Real Time ought to be one of the most fascinating in the show’s history even beyond the fact that a sitting President is sitting down with Maher.

So, this week, President Barack Obama’s interview with Samantha Bee will air on her show, Full Frontal, on this Monday/Halloween. The POTUS will close out the week at another firebrand, political comedy show by finally taking Bill Maher up on his open invitation and appear on Real Time.

Few hosts as big as Maher have publicly lobbied as hard for an Obama sit down, which should make this, as suggested above, a fascinating interview.

Watch it on Friday, November 4th on HBO at 10PM.

Barack Obama Interview on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee Will Air on Halloween

Barack Obama has set the highest bar of how cool a president can be (as well as in touch with the youth of today and how to reach them). He’s been on Between Two Ferns, WTF with Marc Maron, and now, he will have been on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.

At 10:30PM on October 31st, we hope you’re sober enough and partied out enough to catch that night’s episode of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee as it will include an interview with President Barack Obama. This is definitely a milestone for the show that, remember, just started earlier this year.

Undoubtedly, it’ll be on their YouTube page the next day if you did Halloween a little too hard.

Paul F. Tompkins Made This Interview Uncomfortable Like No One Else Can

Seeso has been forcing one Jon Bander to do uncomfortable interviews that are made uncomfortable at the discretion of all the Seeso stars that Bander is interviewing.

In the case of Paul F. Tompkins, star of Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, he took an approach that no one else has with Bander and reached, we’re pretty sure, a new level of tension in an interview that no one else has before.

Norm MacDonald Delivers Another Classic Norm MacDonald-Conan Appearance

Norm MacDonald has always been a great late night guest, but there’s something about when he sits a few feet away from Conan O’Brien on Conan’s late night talk show that makes for comedy gold.

In last night’s appearance, Norm didn’t disappoint in his pregnant pauses, long and winding misdirects, and top level word play that all simultaneously delight and frustrate Conan.

Norm may have not gotten to take over The Late Late Show, but at least we have these late night appearances every once in awhile.

To put the icing on the cake, Norm even snuck himself into the other guest’s segment.

These Daily Show with Jon Stewart alums, Samantha Bee and Stephen Colbert, seem to be in the highest of highs with comedy hosting their own big time shows.

As such, when Bee stopped by on Colbert they got a bit nostalgic for both their time at The Daily Show and the days of their lives that didn’t have to focus on the election.

If there’s one thing that Nicole Byer is not, it’s bashful.

The way that has informed her comedy is pretty great as you can see throughout her interview on Conan last night.

Even when she was talking about her non-sexual, green card marriage, she managed plenty of colorful language into the story.

THR Interviews Kathryn Burns, The Emmy Nominated Choreographer of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

There are many special things about the musical numbers that they do on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. One of the biggest reasons is choreographer Kathryn Burns who has intersected the worlds of dance and comedy so wonderfully for so many years.

As she is now an Emmy nominee, The Hollywood Reporter chatted with her about ins-and-outs of crafting the routines on the show and all the other great work where she has put her dance and comedy chops to use.

On last night’s Conan, Al Madrigal skirted the usual topics of weird flights and yearbook photos in a late night talk show interview for something far more engaging.

As mentioned above, Madrigal explores political advice at taco trucks, what it’s like doing a corporate comedy gig for the the owners of NFL franchises, and the relief received from the ending of his son’s basketball career.

After watching this, you might want to catch Madrigal chat with former Mexican President Vincente Fox at Politicon this weekend.

One of the smartest things that NBC’s new variety show Maya & Marty could do was bring back co-star Martin Short’s beloved character Jiminy Glick.

In their premiere episode, they did just that and lined up the perfect first guest, Larry David, who barely contain himself during the interview.

The line between reality and parody keeps getting more and more blurred.

CNN’s Brooke Baldwin sat down and chatted with Donald Trump and Senator Bernie Sanders as played by Anthony Atamanuik and James Adomian and was so dazzled by their impressions that she wasn’t quite sure how to go about the interview and whether to talk the characters or the players behind them.

Either way, seeing Trump vs. Bernie on CNN is a pretty solid win for us all.

Vogue Magazine did their 73 Questions web series with one of the most really, really, ridiculously good looking people on the planet, Derek Zoolander.

Derek was gracious enough to let Vogue (and the rest of us technically) tour his lavish apartment, which features “not that much” exercise equipment amongst other ludicrous features, during the interview.

It’s almost like it’s right out of Zoolander 2.

For once, you get to see Jerry a little starstruck.

Of course, we’d all be, even if you don’t agree with President Obama’s politics. Still, chalk up another great chat, kind of like his episode of WTF, with the Commander-in-Chief that doesn’t have an agenda other than being “about nothing”.

Also, this is probably the first time that Jerry and his guest don’t go to a diner or coffee shop because, well… the POTUS has other things going on that he needs to attend to.

As Entertainment is coming out, Gregg has decided, for the first time, to give the low down on his most notable character, Neil Hamburger.

For years, Gregg Turkington and Neil Hamburger were the same person, just in and out of character, but mention of each other by either one was virtually non-existent. Hamburger wouldn’t do interviews and Gregg really never talking about playing Neil and making a name for Neil.

Since he’s doing promotion on a movie centered on that character, he feels the need to answer any and all questions about Neil with full transparency regarding origins, intentions, death threats etc.

He answers a lot of those questions in this nterview with THR’s Seth Abramovitch.

Jena Friedman Finds There’s Way More to The “Looking for a Girlfriend” Guy Than His Flyers Would Lead You To Believe

If you think about it, Jena Friedman should have her own show where she does investigative reports.

Dan Perino was tired of the “singles scene” in New York and thus started posting flyers around the city claiming that he is “Looking For a Girlfriend”. These flyers started popping in so many places that Perino gained media attention from doing this.

Daily Show producer and great comedian Jena Friedman wanted to see how Perino’s campaign for a girlfriend is going and recently interviewed him.

Turns out that Dan came off much better in his flyers than their frank conversation. It was definitely a good call that Jena had an AIDS test on hand during their conversation.
