Giulia Rozzi so expertly gets away so much innuendo on her latest late night set on Conan and it really should be commended. In fact, she might just have our favorite joke about baby wipes (that is also probably one of the dirtier ones we’ve ever heard).

There is a certain finesse that comes with working in the realm of dry humor. It’s akin to the artful arranging of negative space in a photograph or painting. When comedians can pull it off, it really is amazing to see how they cleverly play with that energy just like Emily Catalano did in her late night debut on Conan.

Alex Edelman just served us all another great stand-up set on Conan that showcases Edelman’s knack for weaving sharp writing and imagination together.
Indeed, Alex talks about two heroes, though, it’s almost up to you to decide if it’s any pairing of Coco the Gorilla, Robin Williams, Michael Collins, or Neil Armstrong.

We knew what was coming as Rudd has done this bit for so many years and even without the lack of surprise, it still got us. In fact, that might be the inane nature of this bit with knowing full well what’s coming is what keeps it going.
It very well might be the current longest running bit in all of late night (maybe even rivaling Matt Damon’s rivalry with Jimmy Kimmel) and, as such, we feel obligated to highlight it for you.

That always-bandied-about thrill that stand-up comedy supposedly can provide by bringing light to the dark topics, even when it acts like a bit of twisted fun house mirror that you’re looking into is very hard to achieve (making it all the more magical when a comedian does so while also being, of course, very funny).
When it comes to the subject of “pushing boundaries” and “taking risks” in the art form of stand up comedy, one should look to Jena Friedman to see how that can be pulled off.
It’s kind of her thing.
We’d even go so far as to say that Jena’s stand-up, always unafraid to sneak into dark territories, showcases, very clearly, how artful stand-up can be.
Mohanad Elshieky not only came to the US from Libya, but managed to figure out how to do stand-up well (always an unbelievably, impressive feat in your second language) and do so with poise and charm (yet another unbelievably, impressive feat).
He gives a great perspective of a recent immigrant in this set from Conan, which is something we definitely we like seeing right now. Enjoy his set here.
So, the latest installment of Conan Without Borders will be in Greenland as a satirical response to Trump’s idiotic interest in buying Greenland (that’s definitely a distraction for all the other BS he’s pulling).
Conan O’Brien often jokes that he is the “elder statesman of late night”, but, truly, he is one great American and a hell of a goodwill ambassador. In fact, such a reputation makes him a better candidate for POTUS than some of the lesser known candidates currently running, though we’re sure that he’d prefer making fun of someone in the Oval Office rather than sitting at the desk within it.

If you’re not on the du Bouchet train of pure absurdity, then, well, umm, please reconsider what you’re watching as Andrés is one of the pillars of why Conan remains great to this day (and certainly why their bits and sketches are often unrivaled in late night).

Glad to see that Conan’s Andrés du Bouchet got to reprise his spot on creepy Butterscotch clown character for the upcoming release of the It Chapter Two sequel and really went all out for it (especially for Conan being at Comic-Con this week).

Aussie comedian Rhys Nicholson brings all his great verve, zest, and flair in his American late night debut on Conan. Nicholson’s writing is so sharp and delivery so quick that stopping for an applause break is almost jarring.

Throughout the Conan O’Brien canon, some of his best moments will be when O’Brien stepped outside the studio and let his zaniness (and flailing arms and legs) loose.
From old timey baseball to goofing off across the planet to hanging with Hunter S. Thompson to wreaking havoc at Comic-Con to taking a commercial audition lessons, this portion (and it’s not even the whole archive of Conan yet) will undoubtedly take up the rest of your 2019.

It’s clear at this point that Moses Storm is one of Conan O’Brien’s favorites. He often does remote segments on the show in addition to performing stand-up and is a part of Conan’s live tour. That all happens with good reason as Moses has great comedy instincts on so many levels in almost every situation.
You can see all of this in his latest appearance on Conan from last week as the sole guest doing both stand-up and then sitting down to chat with Conan. In the chat, you’ll also get to see that such a night is a dream come true for Moses based on the lengths he used to go in order to watch Late Night with Conan O’Brien as a kid.
Here Is Brody Stevens’ Set on Conan
Brody Stevens should have gotten to do a lot more things for how purely funny he is. In the last several days, you might have scoured the Internet to watch Brody do his thing, which is what we all should have been doing more of when he was around, and saw something like his set on The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail.
For us, we immediately wanted to rewatch and share his set from 2012 on Conan.
It’s special for a few reasons:
1) It is one of his first big time stand-up performances on TV
2) It is one of his first late night spots
3) Most importantly, it’s one of the first times that a national audience got to see Brody be Brody, i.e. the in-the-moment-performance-art-jock that people knew and loved (and thankfully JP, Conan, and Team Coco let that happen in this set).
We weren’t able to find the set outside of the context of Enjoy It!, but we asked the good folks at Team Coco about it and they now have the set for you to watch and enjoy right here.
Oh, you might notice that he indeed jokes about being cut out of Judd Apatow’s Funny People in this set. Judd Apatow found the footage of Brody in Funny People and actually brought everything full circle by showing it on Conan this week.
Daniel Sloss, who is quickly inching up on that chart of comedian-with-most-appearances-on-Conan, makes his pitch, unintentionally, with the terrifying history of Edinburgh Scotland to have Conan Without Borders to go to Edinburgh, Scotland as its next stop.
Also, while we’re on the topic of how great Daniel Sloss is, we want to say that we just watched Sloss’ latest hour entitled “X” and it’s jaw-dropping and an hour show that the world needs right now. Please go see it whenever and wherever you can.
#ConanWithoutBorders’s Next Stop Is Australia
Thankfully, the new, revamped Conan will allow Conan O’Brien to do more of this globetrotting that makes his, effectively, one of the best goodwill ambassadors that America has.
His first stop in 2019 will be Australia and we can only imagine that Conan will be repeatedly asking if he can do his old style fist-a-cuffs fighting with a kangaroo outfitted with boxing gloves.
They’re currently taping in Australia right now, so you can get a bit of a preview of what they’re up to on Team Coco’s Instagram.
In prepping for the new streamlined Conan, Jenny Zigrino was the comedian that Team Coco went for to do a test show in the new format. The word is she crushed it.
Thankfully, she got to actually do a set that made it to air and we definitely see what that test audience got to see.

As we said yesterday when sharing his #GulmanTip writing advice, Gary Gulman is a master craftsman when it comes to stand-up comedy.
Last night, he got to back up our claim with his set on Conan, which is, in so many ways, elegant and funny. In regards to Gary’s idea that he’d make a good millennial, we would note that his vocabulary is much more expansive than your average millennial, but we think that’s absolutely fine.

For those that have been following ongoing saga of Conan O’Brien and Jordan Schlansky, you might remember that this whole thing started from Conan taking Jordan out to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant several years ago. Immediately, Conan discovered their magical dynamic of Jordan sounding and looking like a somewhat realistic human android and Conan testing his patience to the nth degree and the rest is Team Coco history.
Their latest trip together brings all of it full circle as Conan forces dinner on Jordan at the Olive Garden, one of the last places on earth that Jordan would probably ever eat.

Conan O’Brien and company is setting himself apart tonight from the late night pack and making late night history by going to a half-hour format and focusing more on comedy (as well as dropping his renowned house band).
It’s the sort of shake-up that late night really needs and we sincerely can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve (which might even be a denim or leather jacket rather than his very fine suit that he’s been wearing for decades).

Conan in Japan Premieres Tonight
Just a friendly neighborhood reminder, especially if you’ve been missing Conan from your TV for awhile, that his special visit to Japan will air tonight on TBS at 10PM.
In it, you’ll also get to find out what the hell happened when he confronted the mayor of Conantown in addition to Conan’s normal hijinks when goes to foreign lands (that is probably some of the better PR that the U.S can get abroad right now).
There’s no need for any really savvy explanation here. Kyle Kinane is an everlasting comedy peach that sweet on so many levels. Thus, you should watch whatever Kyle does whenever he does it like his panel interview on Conan last night.
