In case you haven’t noticed, late night stand up sets are evolving into self-contained stories that don’t transition to anything. We personally think it’s great and are excited to see more than just the traditional set of “joke-joke-joke” (don’t get us wrong, that’s still great).
Still, Sean Patton’s story about his little brother’s “neuralizer” (yes, that device from Men In Black) is pretty amazing. Watch him tell it on Conan now.
All you need to know is that when Conan says, “That was a huge waste of everyone’s time,” it’s a pretty great sketch.
This is exactly what happened here with a great display by Conan staffer Andrés du Bouchet. Watch the possibly “original” ending to Darren Aronofsky’s Noah.
Marc Maron added to his record number of appearances on Conan last night by dissecting his ongoing struggle against and simultaneously for ice cream.
Watch and never think about the nice dessert treat the same way ever again.
Adam Yenser made his first late stand up appearance on Conan last night and showcased his incredibly sharp comedy stylings to plenty of applause breaks.

There is a only a handful of people that, as late night guests, are so great that they don’t really need anything to promote, but rather just get to be their funny, weird, memorable selves.
For our money, Steven Wright is one of those people as we hope you have seen throughout the years. If not, just check him out last night on Conan being Steven Wright talking his face not matching his thoughts, butterfly hunting, and his Twitter novel.
We almost forgot from our last post: The Pete Holmes Show is premiering tonight on TBS at Midnight following Conan.

The Halloween edition of Conan O’Brien’s Clueless Gamer had Conan O’Brien go into PC game territory and play what are considered some of the more scary games you can play.
Of course, as a monster isn’t in reality trying to stab, eat, or cut you up, Conan makes plenty of verbal jabs that we’re sure would hurt the monsters feelings. Watch the silliness here.

If we tried to describe in detail what Sam Simmons did for his U.S. debut, you might not believe us. So, we’re just going to say it was damn funny and you should watch it to see exactly what we’re being so vague about.

Well done Mark Normand for garnering the title and Village Voice for making a great choice.

Hey America, meet Aparna Nancherla, one of your new favorite comedians (if you haven’t already seen her on Totally Biased). She was on Conan for her late night stand up debut and was all the intelligent, clever, and sublimely silly that we’ve come to know and love.
Conan’s continuing the great classic late night tradition of bringing back very funny stand up comedians that were funny on their program.
Just check Erin Foley’s 2nd set on Conan from last night as a great example.
The Internet Teaches Adam Scott How to Make a Great Movie Poster
In promoting his upcoming movie Adult Children of Divorce, Adam Scott found that the movie poster was perfectly designed for people with a little too much free time hands on their hands or with jobs that are cool with NSFW stuff.

Bootleg is a little of a misnomer here as the hysterically absurd Andrés du Bouchet, the man behind some of the funniest sketches on Conan, recorded all of these tracks himself and released them for all of us to delight to via his website.
Listen to performances at live shows over the last several months of excerpts from his one man show One Hundred and Me Percent or The Testiculating Horror as soon as you can because we found just listening to his album Naked Trampoline Hamlet wasn’t enough du Bouchet for us.
Louis C.K. was on Conan last night and, really, that’s all we’re going to say because you probably already stopped reading this if you read at all as it was hilarious, heartfelt, profound, and also full of so much silliness all at the same time like watching a mini-episode of Louie.

Many guests come on late night talk show to promote, but some do one better by just having great chemistry with the host and being an overall wonderful person to make talking about what’s going on in their life engaging and funny.

Patton Oswalt stopped by Conan last night in promotion of the second season of The Heart, She Holler on Adult Swim, which took more than a little explaining to do just to set up a clip, and, even then, is just best summarized in Oswalt’s warning before tuning in.

You’d like to think that are certain people that are impervious to getting starstruck, but someone like Bill Burr has had his moments. Apparently, he performed in front of Eddie Murphy and couldn’t handle the pressure.
