Only Fans isn’t only for individually empowered adult content anymore and, to prove that, Only Fans put on their very own stand-up comedy competition on their safe-for-work side of the platform of.tv. Up and coming UK comedian Mary O’Connell emerged victorious for the Only Fans Creative Fund: Comedy Edition winning £100K and talks us through that entire wild ride as well as how UK comedy is getting on these days compared to us here, Stateside.

Follow Mary @marywiththegoldshoes on IG, @marydoesgigs on Twitter, and @marebearmarebear on Only Fans.

OnlyFans Launches £100K Comedy Competition for UK & Ireland

September 27, 2022
News
comedy contest, onlyfans

OnlyFans is really making a move to be more than just R or X rated with its content and this comedy contest tapping from their OnlyFans Creative Fund is very likely their biggest move in that direction.

Though many of you won’t be able to enter an OnlyFans comedy contest, a credit that might be worth some chuckles in your intro for a few shows, it’s intriguing to see OnlyFans continuing to push towards non-sexual content on their platform/streaming service.

If you do happen to be across the pond, you have 8 days to enter here with a 5 minute clip of any sort of comedy with the prospect of a £50K and being cast in a four part TV series or a £25K prize for 2nd and third place finishers. Finalists chosen from this lot will have to perform live at a comedy club in London.

What’s most intriguing here is how much both OnlyFans and the comedians involved will go for something that’s perhaps not so blue or, maybe, even family friendly(?) It’s hard to imagine that comedy on OnlyFans, at this point in time, wouldn’t be the sort of comedy that is uncensored, unfiltered, etc. We’ll just have to wait and see what UK and Irish comics come out on top here.

If this goes well and catches on, don’t be surprised to see a contest that you’ll be enter stateside from OnlyFans.

Congratulations to Rob Christensen, Winner of Westside Comedy Theater’s Stand Up Showdown

The 3rd Annual Westside Comedy Theater Stand Up Showdown just came to a close with one Rob Christensen coming up as the winner.

We got to say that, as of late because of Rob and Nick Cobb winning March Comedy Madness, the comedians that have been winning contests in LA are pretty funny.

Congratulations to 2013 March Comedy Madness Winner Nick Cobb

The single elimination stand-up tournament, March Comedy Madness, came to a close last night at the Hollywood Improv as one Nick Cobb emerged the winner. He was fantastic, especially for having to do back to back sets almost ten minutes within each other and killing it both times.

So, again, congratulations to the hilarious Nick Cobb and please go see him wherever he’s performing, which, we hope is a lot of places here in LA and beyond soon.
