Mitch Hurwitz Says Arrested Development Movie to Come Before Season 5 at Netflix
Not only will there be more Arrested Development coming our way (no details on when though), but series creator Mitch Hurwitz is working towards a full length feature before moving on to another season at Netflix.
This news has peaked our curiosity, for many reasons of course, but, more specifically, when there will be an Arrested Development college elective course covering the entire series/movie/etc.
Mitch Hurwitz Is Working on Making The Arrested Development Movie Happen
The creator of Arrested Development Mitch Hurwitz is indeed working on making a feature adaptation of the series and that’s the only detail we have right now. Still, given the hiatus that series took between Season 3 and 4, it’s a good sign.
Perhaps, in a full length feature, it will be easier to connect every one of the storylines, running jokes, tags, etc.
More Arrested Development to Come According to Series Creator Mitch Hurwitz
While at JFL Montreal, Mitch Hurwitz has said that there are definite plans to push forward with more Arrested Development at Netflix.
Hopefully, this time around, they can get the whole together to be on every episode.
The games that Paul F. Tompkins plays with his guests on his candid interview show, Speakeasy, are just delightful. Case in point, letting Tony Hale as Buster Bluth finish off the beginnings of Mother’s Day sentiments.
These are hilarious, if not, as Tony says, “creepy”.
Netflix Planning to Expand Budget for Original Programming
Say what you will about Arrested Development’s latest season, Netflix putting more money into original programming is a great thing. If they brought Arrested Development back from the dead, who knows what great things will be next.
It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for years and now it’s finally here: Arrested Development Season 4 is up at Netflix for you to watch. So, we won’t waste any more of your time and let you get to watching.
Oh, there’s this thank you from series creator Mitchell Hurwitz below.

So, here are 4 preview of Arrested Development clips to watch over and over until Sunday if that’s what you want to do until then.
The release of the latest season of Arrested Development is this Sun. May 26th and what way better to take a break from watching all the episodes before by going to an art show inspired by Arrested Development.
Tomorrow on May 25th at Great Over Good in Santa Ana at 6PM, there will be exactly that complete with Justin Grant Wade/Steve Holt. Tickets are $10 online or $15 at the door.
The Arrested Development Stair Car Will Make an Appearance at The Grove in LA Today
In promotion of the latest season of Arrested Development on Netflix, the show is going on a worldwide tour featuring things like a frozen banana stand in NYC and now, today, the famous/infamous stair car is apparently making an appearance at The Grove from 2PM to 10PM.
So, basically, don’t try to park at The Grove today.
For the new season of Arrested Development, Tobias Funke (David Cross) still, apparently, has not given up his dream of acting. How do we know that? Just check this recently posted acting reel claiming he could be inserted anywhere.
Last night, Portia De Rossi stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon as part of the media blitz Arrested Development is doing (Ron Howard just stopped by a real life Bluth banana stand in NYC) with a clip of the new season with a nice cameo from Ed Helms.
It’s no surprise that every blog, whether comedy focused or not, has posted the trailer for the latest season of Arrested Development coming out on Netflix on May 26th since it was uploaded last night. It’s almost like it’s old news for how many times we’ve seen in it our feed.
Still, that’s not deterring us in the slightest from posting it because 1) some of you haven’t seen it and 2) it’s a trailer for one of the funniest tv shows, once thought dead, Arrested Development. Come on!
For those who have been waiting years for the seemingly improbable return of Arrested Development, the wait is almost over with a premiere of a new season on Netflix soon. As that’s the case, the anticipation is incredibly high so much so that we’re glad a full documentary about Arrested Development just got released to buy/download to tide us over.
Here’s a trailer for The Arrested Development Documentary Project to refresh your memory.

Here Are the Details Behind FX’s Comedy Channel FXx
You may still hate that you have to wait until Spring next year for a new season of Louie, but, trust us, you will love the rest of this plan for FX’s comedy channel shoot off FXx, which includes Arrested Development and Freaks and Geeks airing in syndication.
Some of you might know this and some of you might not, but that are a lot of hidden costs that go into making a documentary. A lot of those come unfortunately in the post production/distribution process as documentaries, at their outset, have little idea what the end result will be.
Such is the case with The Arrested Development Documentary Project as the project apparently has amassed a pretty big bill, $20,053, to pay for licensing for photos used in the documentary. Please donate so can we all see this film going behind one of the funniest series of all time.
1) One question for seemegetfamous.tv: ARE YOU FOR REAL?
2) Many have you who are normal and don’t go out every night probably saw The Daily Show’s John Stewart’s heartfelt words in response to the recent shootings in Arizona. If you didn’t, here it is right here. Just note that Jon Stewart takes time aside from joking or any sort of political agenda and reminds us all that humanity still exists. Still, parts of this are very funny (especially w/John Oliver).
3) The Arrested Development Movie is a ‘Real Priority’. Finally.
4) HBO’s Funny or Die Presents Season 1 is now on DVD or, as they say, in “a box of crap”. Either way you should buy it in stores or download it from iTunes NOW.
