Amy Sedaris Goes Down Memory Lane and Crafts Stick People with Stephen Colbert

The pure, unfiltered joy of Amy Sedaris is a beacon of hope, not unlike a lighthouse, and it’s a blessing that her splendidly bizarre crafting-ish series At Home with Amy Sedaris is returning to TruTV tonight.

Leading up to the season 3 premiere, Sedaris chatted remotely with her dear old friend who just happens to be the host of The Late Show Stephen Colbert reminiscing about their salad days. The benefit of Sedaris being at home is that she can actually show every memory that she has collected. Also, she gets to show how nifty she can really be at crafting, leaving Colbert a bit in the dust.

Enjoy Sedaris’ whole lovely interview on The Late Show here.

What a Perfect Time for Season 3 of “At Home with Amy Sedaris”

Even though some states are attempting to “open up” things after having lockdown orders for weeks, we’re guessing that staying at home is what the majority of what people will still be doing for awhile.

At Home with Amy Sedaris, the splendidly offbeat scripted lifestyle series, might be a perfect companion to continue to stay home with. Not only can you enjoy the beautiful, kitschy chaos of the show itself, but it might be a hoot to actually attempt some of Amy’s projects.

Certainly, you can see that there’s plenty of satisfyingly absurd at-home-activities that Sedaris is getting into with this season 3 trailer.

Look for the season 3 premiere of At Home with Amy Sedaris on TruTV.

You didn’t read that wrong. Stephen Colbert, for a bit of a change of pace on The Late Show, took to the guest seat and had his long time friend and compatriot, the great Amy Sedaris fire off questions and anecdotes from all angles.

As with the dynamic of their relationship pretty much from the start, Amy pokes and prods Stephen just right to loosen him up in a wonderful way.

Please watch and enjoy it here.

Tomorrow night, Amy Sedaris’ lifestyle show At Home with Amy Sedaris, or her version of a lifestyle show, makes its series premiere on TruTV.

From what we can gather, this show is analogous to how Jon Glaser shows his appreciation for gear while also following unraveling thread of his personal life on Jon Glaser Loves Gear, also on TruTV.

See for yourself in this clip of Amy’s morning routine.

At Home with Amy Sedaris premeires on Tuesday at 10:30PM on TruTV.

A stranger version of the already heightened, brightly colored Pee-wee’s Playhouse is possible.

At Home with Amy Sedaris, part craft show, part a journey into the off-kilter fun house that is the psyche of Amy Sedaris, seems to achieve that according to this first, full trailer.

We’re gonna bet that if you loved Jon Glaser Loves Gear, you’ll love this too.

See for yourself here. (Oh, Michael Shannon has a pretty cameo that you should watch for).

At Home with Amy Sedaris premieres Tuesday, October 24th on TruTV at 10:30PM.

Perhaps one of the weirdest, best food demonstration ever to be on a late night talk show will have to be Amy Sedaris showing Jimmy Fallon how the propmaster on The Heart, She Holler makes edible cat poop because that’s what her character has to do.

Assuredly, they’ll be .gifs of this in a matter of hours. Watch it here.
