Rashida Jones To Star in Steve Carell’s TBS Comedy Pilot ‘Tribeca’
Having Rashida Jones star in this a police procedural comedy pilot from Steve Carell should equal automatic series pick up. With that news, Carell’s Tribeca just even got more highly anticipated amongst comedy pilots this season.

One of our favorite web series of all time is Henry’s Kitchen, the cooking (?) show hosted by Henry Phillips has a new episode with a perfect (?) dish for your Superbowl party.
Chris Gethard and co. have been hard at work on their Comedy Central pilot and have been a little off the radar.
Gethard, here, gives an update on how the pilot is going and ensures that the spirit of the show will remain the same despite what some people think in going from a public access show to a Comedy Central pilot.
Bill Cosby Returning To NBC To Star In Family Comedy
NBC is having one of the most noted and respected names in comedy Bill Cosby back on the network.
There’s no specifics on what the half hour series would be, but given Cosby’s latest special Far From Finished, doing things like taking over Funny or Die’s Twitter account, constantly leading Jimmy Fallon through his late night segments during his appearance, we’d guess that this will be a Cosby Show for now.
Marc Maron’s Thinky Pain Now Available on DVD
One of our favorite comedy specials from last year Thinky Pain from Marc Maron just got released on DVD.
Pick it up because there will be times that you can’t access your Netflix account and will want to watch it.
A deal has been made to air The Ellen DeGeneres Show in China after it airs here in the U.S.
Someone needs to make a mini documentary of how Chinese people react to Ellen when it airs on a regular basis.
Broad City with Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson makes its world premiere tonight on Comedy Central at 10:30PM.

Chris Gethard’s Releasing First Comedy Album Apr. 22nd
In addition to having one of the higher profile pilots in development this pilot season with The Chris Gethard Show at Comedy Central, Chris Gethard is going to release a comedy album from Don Giovanni Records.
You can pre-order it now for digital and vinyl release and, who are you kidding, you should just go do that right now because you know you’ll want to hear this.
This should be exciting to you for two reasons:

Colin Jost To Be New SNL Weekend Update Co-Anchor
Colin Jost will join Cecily Strong in co-anchoring Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update replacing Seth Meyers when Meyers heads to Late Night.
The shifting from Weekend Update host to Late Night host to host of The Tonight Show seems to be a last bastion of old school television especially considering that many of the newer late night shows are named just after the host.
The latest episode of This Is Not Happening with Ari Shaffir involves four comedians that all are in the room when this was taped and all subsequently took the stage: Steve Rannazzisi, Ari Shaffir, Bobby Lee, and Natasha Leggero.
The story follows a crazy fight that broke out at The Comedy Store, which isn’t that unusual for The Comedy Store, but they all have amazingly made up and agreed on what happened.

‘Modern Family’s Paul Corrigan & Brad Walsh Ink Overall Deal With 20th Century Fox TV
The latest overall network deal (Amy Poehler and Louis C.K. have gotten them recently at NBC and FX respectively) goes to Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh from Modern Family.
However, it’s not at ABC, but rather 20th Century Fox, which, again is amassing a nice set of projects and people for their current development slate.
Really, you need to watch Chris Fairbanks be absolutely Chris Fairbanks on Conan and kill it during a late night stand up set.

NBC Orders Pilot of Rob Lowe Tennis Comedy ‘The Pro’
Rob Lowe is getting closer to moving from fictional politics to fictional former tennis fame in this comedy project The Pro that just got a pilot order at NBC.
We’re curious who else gets attached to this and if it’s going to be done with the mockumentary style that has gotten NBC so much success.
The Jon Friedman Internet Program over at Above Average has made a startling discovery in the behavioral development of humans.
They have uncovered the origin behind waving hello to people. Watch exactly how this practice came about in this documentary (watch the whole thing) and isn’t made up in anyway.
