Earwolf Expands Network to Have Non-Comedy Podcasts as Well as a Few More Comedy Ones
Earwolf’s adding podcasts featuring Har Mar Superstar, hip-hop, Jake Fogelnest, D&D, David Koechner, and more.
Given that Earwolf has exclusively had comedy podcasts, we’re guessing that even the arts podcasts will still be kind of funny in their own way.
John Hodgman’s classic trilogy of COMPLETE WORLD KNOWLEDGE, detailing everything you need to know about everything INCLUDING the impending end of the world, is set to be distributed to the masses on Oct. 2nd. BUT WHY WAIT WITH THE MASSES WHEN YOU CAN PRE-ORDER IT NOW? Plus, if you’re one of the first 666 people to make this vital purchase, then you get a “specially defaced edition” where Hodgman will specially deface the box, sometimes with a mysterious symbol.

Earlier this year, we interviewed delightful writer/comedian Susan Burke about co-writing a film that was getting attention at Sundance. That film is Smashed and, at the time, there wasn’t any trailer or clips to see of the Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Aaron Paul comedy/drama about a couple trying to sober up co-starring Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally.
After all this time, we’re glad to see that there is finally a trailer for Smashed directed and co-written by James Ponsoldt and comes out Oct. 12th.
Kurt Braunohler continues his project of altering greeting cards at Rite-Aids and CVS’s to the delight of all whether they’re Kurt Braunohler fans or just looking for a get well card. Hope there’ll be a gallery of these someday.

As part of being adopted by IFC, Chris Gethard went out to the streets of NYC, right under a billboard announcing his collaboration with IFC, to see if anyone now recognizes him, especially with a billboard of him a few feet away. Apparently, people have a hard time making the connection between the billboard and Gethard.
Thanks to the very funny Matt Ruby and Mark Normand, we get to see the hard hitting sleuth duo of an Amish and Hasidic cop. Hard hitting, in this case, means getting mistaken for both being Jewish by almost everyone.

Epix Set to Do Their Version of Talking Funny/Green Room with Bill Hader
