Amy Poehler’s Book “Yes Please” Gets Cover and Is Now on Pre-Order

The amazing Amy Poehler has so much going on right now with producing a handful of series, starring in others, roasting Don Rickles, and now coming out with a book. Yes Please will feature stories as well as her thoughts on life. It’s on pre-order right now for an October release, if you want to get Yes Please as soon as possible.

We wonder if a year after its release, they’ll sell Yes Please in a pack with Tina Fey‘s Bossypants?

Andy Haynes’ Debut Comedy Album “Greatest Hits” Out Today

Get your copy of Andy Haynes’ very first comedy album Greatest Hits, which is now officially out.

Yes, once again, it’s called Greatest Hits and it’s his first album, which we think is definitely one of the better comedy albums titles we’ve heard in awhile.

Pixar Reveals More About Their Latest Film ‘Inside Out’

Imagine having your emotions being voiced by Amy Poehler, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, and Phyllis Smith. Got that? Now imagine that they’re animated into full formed characters and you’re having to deal with moving to San Francisco from the Midwest as a kid.

This should be interesting as it’s probably Pixar’s least fantastical film to date, but boasts a great cast and concept, especially for the fact that Poehler is set to play the emotion of joy and Black is set for anger.

Pixar is aiming Inside Out for a U.S. release next Summer, Jul. 19th, 2015.

An Open Letter on The Cancellation of The Pete Holmes Show from “Petey Pants” Pete Holmes

Hearing that TBS was canceling The Pete Holmes Show kind of blindsided us.

While we’re still processing it and how this changes the state of late night, Pete Holmes himself had some encouraging words, at the link, for any and all about the opportunity he got to host his own talk show.

Netflix in Talks for ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ TV Series

While most broadcast networks are ditching their comedy slates, we’re glad to see that Netflix is possibly taking on reviving Wet Hot American Summer for a prequel series. David Wain and Michael Showalter are going to round up as much of the original cast as possible in case this news isn’t already exciting enough.

TBS Cancels The Pete Holmes Show After Two Cycles

Unable to convince TBS that enough people were watching with Conan as a lead-in, TBS has decided to cancel The Pete Holmes Show. The last episode will air on June 19th and there’s no word as to whether there will be another late night show or possibly something else to follow Conan on weeknights.

Though this is a living wake of sorts, RIP The Pete Holmes Show.

Rachel Dratch, Andrea Martin, and James Urbaniak Join USA Pilot Difficult People Starring Julie Klausner and Billy Eichner

With just the cast of Klausner and Eichner, and now Rachel Dratch, Andrea Martin, and James Urbaniak joining in, we’d already be thrilled at the prospect of how good Difficult People could be.

What makes this even more exciting is that Amy Poehler is producing this, which it makes it hard for us to think that USA Network wouldn’t pick this up.

Jimmy Fallon is Taking The Tonight Show to Orlando For a Week

Jimmy Fallon has not only made Tonight Show history simply by being the new host, but he will be the first host to take The Tonight Show out of its home studio and shoot remotely.

In mid-June, he’ll be down in Orlando and will tape a week of episodes. Considering how almost every other late night show has done something like this over the years, it’s about time this happened at The Tonight Show.

Get Your Weather From Now on From WeatherFrom.com

Remember when David Lynch used to report the weather every day? If you liked that even one iota, you’ll love the “weather reports” from WeatherFrom.com because there’s an old opinionated Jewish woman instead of Lynch giving you tangential feelings about the weather.

Enjoy however much time you’re going to spend on this. We’re guessing a lot.

Stream HBO Series on Amazon Prime Starting Today

Finally, you don’t have to have an HBO subscription in order to get HBO Go to stream some of your favorite HBO shows online. A whole load of HBO content just hit Amazon including Eastbound & Down, Flight of the Conchords, early seasons of Veep and Girls, and several comedy specials. You do however have to be an Amazon Prime subscriber, which might be bitter sweet, as you’ll pay $99 for one year of Amazon Prime.

However, that’s roughly around $100 cheaper than a year of HBO if it’s any consolation.

Bill Hader To Create & Star In HBO Series

HBO is really racking it up with their comedy slate. We’re already highly anticipating The Brink with Jack Black and Tim Robbins and now we have an entire Bill Hader series to also look forward to.

Even if it’s Hader mostly doing obscure Star Wars impressions, we’d be cool with that.

In case you’re wondering, Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be producing on Ninjago just like they are with the Lego Movie sequel. So, two Lego Movies are underway, hopefully, like the first one, to the delight of both children and adults.

Fox Signs First Look Deal with Burning Love’s Jonathan Stern and Keith Quinn

As they should be, Fox is thoroughly impressed by the success of Burning Love going from a web series to full fledged TV series. As a result, they have signed Burning Love producers Jonathan Stern and Keith Quinn to a first look deal where they will develop digital content that’s intended to make its way to TV.

Even though Fox is keeping Fox ADHD around, they’re still for more alternative platform comedy and signing Stern and Quinn isn’t a bad place to start.

The Heart, She Holler Renewed and Scott Adsit Joining the Cast

One of Adult Swim’s most delightfully bizarre shows, The Heart, She Holler from Vernon Chatman is coming back for a third season, which could mean that the cast could do more late night appearances where they show America the behind the weirdness such as how to make edible litter.

Also, Scott Adsit has just been announced as a series regular as a new sheriff in town. It’s quite a jump to go from 30 Rock to The Heart, She Holler, but we’re excited for this all the same.

Even Though Community Got Cancelled, There Will Be a CommuniCon 3

NBC axed Community last week and, while that’s sad to hear, the Community faithful are still pushing forward with their fan organized convention, CommuniCon, now in its 3rd year.

Set for Oct. 25th in the Embassy Suites in Glendale, CommuniCon 3 tickets have been on sale and are already going quite fast. Undoubtedly, this should be a pretty significant edition of this convention.
