As you can clearly see in the flyer above, that headline could go way longer as the more fan-focused JFL festival in Toronto, JFL42, is packed with top shelf talent that covers so many eras, styles, sensibilities, etc. of comedy that it might be worth making the trek out to Toronto to see all of that in one week, especially if you don’t live in LA or NYC.

You’ve got some time as JFL42 isn’t until mid Sept., but you best get your passes and tickets now (the VIP Pass already sold out). Passes are going for $84-$199 (not including service charges). Go get more details and tickets/passes here.

Tim Gilbert, hailing from Toronto, Canada, has just put out a great comedy album this week and you can have and listen to it over and over for whatever price you choose.

It’s called Please Help Me I Am Very Sick and is a fun, dark romp through Gilbert’s life and we suggest you get your copy and enjoy.

As far as whether you have to use currency in paying what you want (i.e. barter system?), we’re not sure, but the important this is that you get and listen to Gilbert’s album.

In 1993 before South Park, Trey Parker made a film based on a man actually convicted of cannibalism in America delightfully called Cannibal! The Musical.

Over 20 years and a Tony award winning musical later in Book of Mormon, Parker is on to actually making it a stage musical set to premiere at Toronto’s Randolph Theatre.

So, could Parker and Stone be on their way to being the new Rodgers and Hammerstein?

YouTube Launching Its Own ‘Buffer Festival’

It’s kind of surprising that it has taken this long for YouTube to put together it’s on film festival, but they’re heading up to Toronto this November and holding their very own “Buffer Festival” featuring the best and brightest of YouTube.

We’re assuming that there will be a livestream of panel on YouTube comment threads that will be subjected to the stereotypical YouTube comment thread.
