Yep. We’re on board for all of this.

Hollywood golden boys Chris Miller and Phil Lord are onto the next step of their fast growing comedy legacy (Jump Street, LEGO Movie, Last Man on Earth, and more) with a pilot presentation of Son of Zahn at Fox.

The animated will be juxtaposed with the live action in a story where an animated Barbarian father has to deal with coming home to the suburban life where a very real and hilarious Johnny Pemberton will play the son. We’re thinking that it’s probably somewhere along the lines of a much more clever, sharper, and heightened version of Thor not having his powers on earth in the first Thor movie.

Either way, we hope it gets past all the pilot stages just so we can see what Lord and Miller have got cooking.

NBC Greenlights Comedy Presentation Starring Comedian Jerrod Carmichael

NBC could definitely make up for letting Mulaney go by having one of our favorite comedians that America is going to know and love very soon, Jerrod Carmichael, have a series.

Let’s all hope this gets picked up very soon.

Many has the cartoon been made that takes place in grade school full of weird, bizarre, creepy, but ultimately funny set pieces. Yet, it has rarely been done sans animation in a school converted from a cursed insane asylum.

Well, that’s where we are all in luck with Matt Peters (you might have just seen him on Orange Is The New Black) & Aaron Alberstein’s pilot presentation for their series ‘Institutionalized’ comes in featuring just what we were mentioning above, a bunch of really funny people like Davey Johnson, Lizzy Cooperman, director Mike Upchurch, and a lot of twisted hilarity.

Watch the 10 min. pilot presentation here.
