A Revival of Party Down Is In The Works at Starz

Henry’s torturous catch phrase “Are we having fun yet?” has been a sentiment that has been ringing in our head as capturing the spirit of remaining in lockdown because of the pandemic.

So, the idea of Party Down potentially returning is very much good news to us and, as far as revivals/reboots go via nostalgia bait, we’re fine with this one. If you haven’t watched Party Down yet, please stop singing the praises of Ted Lasso and go watch all of Party Down right now. There are only two seasons (and there indeed should have been more), so it ought to be a very satisfying binge.

Thus far, the original producing team of Rob Thomas, John Enbom, Paul Rudd and Dan Etheridge are committed to developing this possible revival at Starz and they’ve indicated that a good portion of the cast is likely to return (Adam Scott seems to be on board).

Perhaps, if this returns, we’ll have a better answer for the question, “Are we having fun yet?”

For $5.99 to rent and $14.99 to buy, The Interview is now available for you to watch via YouTube.

You now don’t have to be near one of few hundred independent/art house theaters to go see it tomorrow, though you should go do that if you can. You can stand for the freedom of expression from foreign oppressors from the comfort of your own home. It’s the way that many Americans prefer to stand up for their rights these days.

Go watch Seth Rogen, James Franco, Lizzy Caplan, and Randall Park satirize the North Korean regime right now, right here.

UPDATE: You can also watch The Interview on VOD via Xbox Video and Google Play.

While Lizzy Caplan is exploring her more dramatic side on Showtime‘s Masters of Sex, Caplan will be doing her next comedy project with the trio who worked on the great cancer comedy 50/50, Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and director Jonathan Levine.

It’s a comedy set at Christmas time, but there are no details as of yet if it will come to theaters during one Christmas or another in the not so distant future. Luckily, The Interview with Seth Rogen is coming this Christmas and we’ll have that to hold us over.

Season 3 of Comedy Bang! Bang! Guest Stars Your Usual Favorites, Tony Hawk, Jenny Lewis and More

Even though season 3 of Comedy Bang! Bang! on IFC doesn’t have the massive episode order that season 4 will with a whopping 40 ordered in 2015, the guest star list for this season is still pretty great and pretty big.

Your usual suspects of Paul F. Tompkins, Bob Odenkirk, Lizzy Caplan, Nick Offerman, Fred Armisen, Weird Al Yankovic as well as the likes of skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, Jenny Lewis, Aimee Mann, Kate McKinnon, and more will be stopping by to have a moment with Scott Aukerman and Reggie Watts next month, starting May 8th.

You’ll Probably Fall in Love with Lizzy Caplan Again From Being on Speakeasy with Paul F. Tompkins

Lizzy Caplan is Paul F. Tompkins‘ latest guest on his intimate talk show Speakeasy (complete with real cocktails as opposed to a coffee mug of a water that you get on all those other talk shows) and is beyond charming as Lizzy is known to be.

As you might have hoped, she talks about being on Freaks and Geeks and Party Down in a nice long chat with Tompkins and then imitates memes, which, if you don’t swoon over, then, well… we just don’t know how to help you.

Lizzy Caplan to Joining Seth Rogen and James Franco in ‘The Interview’

So, of course, the North Korean political intrigue comedy by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg starring James Franco and Rogen involves a talk show host and their producer and will now feature the delightful Lizzy Caplan.

Well, we’re already wanting to see this in theaters without a trailer.

Successful Alcoholics.

mattbraunger:

Here it is, folks. Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ and TJ Miller’s “Successful Alcoholics” starring TJ and everyone’s favorite, Lizzy Caplan. It’s hilarious, oddly touching in parts, and full of amazing actors. Most of whom you’ve seen/heard of. I’m in it for a little bit as a patrol cop with ridiculous hair. We took it to Sundance a little while back but it hasn’t been available to the public, until now.

Seriously, I know I’m biased, but if you have 25 minutes to spare at any point today or whenever, grab some popcorn and check it out.
