Bob Odenkirk is currently on a book tour for his new book A Load of Hooey and if you want a little preview of what you might see at one of the tour stops, just watch Odenkirk do a reading on Conan.
Then make sure you catch Bob reading it around the country including here in Los Angeles at Skylight Books tonight.
Amy Poehler will be doing something atypical of audiobooks, but probably should be done more often: reading live.
Her upcoming book Yes Please set for release on Oct. 28th is currently on pre-order and she is, tonight, reading a chapter in front of a live audience at the UCB Theatre here in LA, which sure is to be a good time for both the audience and the listener later. Maybe future audiobooks might be done entirely in multiple sessions in front of live crowds?
For now, the reservations for Poehler’s live reading are full, but there is a wait list right now.
Nick Offerman to Play Ignatius J. Reilly in Live Stage Reading of A Confederacy of Dunces
After almost being made into a film for decades, a big time staged adaptation of John Kennedy Toole’s A Confederacy of Dunces might just see the light of day after all.
Having Nick Offerman play Ignatius in an industry only workshop read definitely helps.
