Per their Twitter profile, The Good Place is rightfully celebrating their season 3 renewal.

This is a great moment to take a step back and, again, realize how prolific the comedy of Mike Schur is (Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Good Place).

NBC Renews The Good Place for Season 2

With a second season on the way, series creator Mike Schur can take his most high concept comedy yet in The Good Place and take into even more daring territory.

If you look how Schur’s Parks and Recreation progressed over the seasons, there’s a lot to be excited for the future of the show.

Mike Schur is returning to television after having his series Parks and Recreation end perfectly last year.

His new show, The Good Place, is premiering tonight with back-to-back episodes starting at 10PM on NBC. The third episode will air on Thursday at 8:30PM, their actual weekly time slot.

We hope this will be a good start to NBC’s new comedy line-up for this fall.

Here’s the Trailer for Mike Schur’s New Series at NBC “The Good Place”

Parks and Recreation may be done and gone, but Parks and Rec fans have a new Mike Schur-NBC venture to look forward to this fall: The Good Place.

Set in an afterlife that seems dreamed up by Leslie Knope, Kristen Bell plays a woman who thinks she has ended up in “the good place” by mistake. Ted Danson will guide her around as a mentor-of-sorts in trying to navigate her way around, especially since she recalls not being such a good person. There are plenty of great quirks in this afterlife universe that we can already see as potential great running gags for the series.

We’ll let the trailer take it from there.

Fred Armisen and Kristen Bell put together a nice 6:30 of jokes and song to open up The 30th Film Independent Spirit Awards yesterday.

It was to the point, covered the best feature nominees, and had both Wayne Federman and Sean Conroy as audience plants, which made us happy.

Watch it here.

Did you hear? These fine people are co-hosting the Film Independent #SpiritAwards! Feb. 21. http://t.co/SlNcJrrP80 pic.twitter.com/RTEhghH6UY

The Film Independent Spirit Awards has been hosted by the likes of Patton Oswalt and Seth Rogen. They’re staying the wheelhouse with hosts as they’ve just landed Kristen Bell and Fred Armisen to oversee the awards ceremonies.

Maybe, if we’re lucky, Bell will have to handle a sloth and Armisen will have to go head-to-head in an impression off with Bill Hader.

The Spirit Awards will air live on Feb. 21st at 2PM on IFC.
