Without a doubt, Taika Waititi’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople is one of the best comedies of 2016.
If you didn’t get a chance to see it in its limited theatrical run, fret not. It’ll be on iTunes next Tuesday, September 13th, then on other VOD platforms a week after that.
This is definitely that feel good comedy you want to watch over and over, so keep next Tuesday in mind.
Clea DuVall’s debut as a writer/director is a pretty damn fine one.
Her film, The Intervention, following a “marriage intervention” is simultaneously well crafted, emotionally charged, and laugh out loud hysterical. The notable ensemble cast of Melanie Lynskey, Cobie Smulders, Ben Schwartz, Natasha Lyonne, DuVall, Alia Shawkat, and Vincent Piazza do not disappoint either in handling the delicate material.
If you want more comedy in your dramedies or want to see something that exhibits the real nitty gritty of several different relationships, but does actually celebrate the idea of love without seeming too heavy handed, The Intervention just might be for you.
It just opened at Arclight Hollywood today, but you can watch it on iTunes now as well.
If you’re still somehow subscribed to Seeso, you can still get into Cameron Esposito’s latest hour offering of stand-up.
Her special, Marriage Material, which is streaming exclusively on Seeso, can now be purchased as an album on iTunes.
It doesn’t matter which way you go to watch/listen to Marriage Material so long as you do indeed go for one of them.
Futurama will now live on not only in the many runs that it had over the years, but will also continue as a mobile game called Game of Drones available now at the App Store and Google Play.

Again, Rick and Morty season 3 has yet to have any premiere date announced so we can figure out what we have to do to kill time in between now and then.
However, one of those things could be getting a free Rick and Morty game that is not unlike Pokemon called Pocket Mortys.
It might not kill all the time between this moment and the premiere of season 3, but you could always just rewatch the first two season of Rick and Morty.

Richard Jeni, who passed tragically and too early like Robin Williams did this week, will, at the very least, have his comedy live on in four albums from four of his specials on iTunes.
A Good Catholic Boy, Platypus Man, Richard Jeni’s Bits, and the posthumously released The Beach Crowd are now all available thanks to Comedy Dynamics. The Beach Crowd is cut from years of performances at The Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, CA and really shows Jeni in his element.
Definitely make this part of your comedy library.
Nerdist, Funny or Die, College Humor, Vevo, Yahoo!, Pop Crush, Amazon, and even The Wall Street Journal all got to release one of Weird Al Yankovic’s 8 music videos from his new album Mandatory Fun.
To our knowledge, there hasn’t been such an expansive rollout of music videos over so many brands that make or host original content and, as you might imagine, this move has gotten Yankovic has gotten tons of views and a #1 album overall on iTunes as well as possible #1 album on Billboard.
For any album, not just a musical comedy parody album, that’s impressive.
Dana Gould’s “I Know It’s Wrong” Now Available on iTunes
If you didn’t have Showtime or couldn’t catch it when it aired, you can now get Dana Gould’s latest hour long comedy special “I Know It’s Wrong” on iTunes as an album.
If you have the day off today (or at any time), this might be a good way to spend it.
For those who have been waiting years for the seemingly improbable return of Arrested Development, the wait is almost over with a premiere of a new season on Netflix soon. As that’s the case, the anticipation is incredibly high so much so that we’re glad a full documentary about Arrested Development just got released to buy/download to tide us over.
