Seeso’s Hidden America with Jonah Ray, HarmonQuest, MBMBaM, and Cyanide and Happiness Sold to VRV Streaming Service

Seeso’s Hidden America with Jonah Ray, HarmonQuest, MBMBaM, and Cyanide and Happiness Sold to VRV Streaming Service

This is a fascinating sale as we could have swore that you could get access to Seeso content through an Amazon Prime subscription. Wouldn’t it have been easier to just sell it there? Maybe there wasn’t enough interest or the price wasn’t right?

In any case, the VRV streaming service, which is a streaming service home to lots of animated content, RiffTrax, Nerdist, and many other channels not only got four original shows, “Hidden America with Jonah Ray”, “HarmonQuest”, “My Brother, My Brother and Me”, and “Cyanide and Happiness” from Seeso in this sale, but also got an unaired season of HarmonQuest that they’ll get to premiere.

Though Seeso seems to be winding down, there’s plenty of great shows that should (and will hopefully) have a home sooner rather than later. Don’t be surprised to see Seeso programming get splintered on to several different services (or maybe even end up airing on linear TV in some way).

Season 2 Trailer of Hidden America with Jonah Ray Includes a Not So Happy Anthony Bourdain

Hidden America with Jonah Ray is indeed a fake travel show that expertly skewers the whole TV genre that explores the culture of traveling here and abroad. The upcoming season has excited for more sharp, nuanced parodies of what real travel shows done in real cities with guests Joel Hodgson, Yvette Nicole Brown, Janet Varney and Jorge Garcia.

Also, in blurring the lines between the parody and real world, the one and only Anthony Bourdain of Parts Unknown fame, and a particularly incensed one at that, makes what seems to be a “fun” cameo on this new season of Hidden America.

See all of this and more in the season 2 trailer, then look for the season to start streaming on Seeso on Thursday, May 4th.

Seeso Renews ‘Hidden America’, ‘Cyanide & Happiness’, ‘What’s Your F@%king Deal?!’

A faux travel series hosted by Jonah Ray, an animated dark comedy based on a popular web comic, and a crowd work showcase hosted by Big Jay Oakerson all get renewed at Seeso today. It looks the NBC comedy exclusive streaming service has been taking chances that perhaps that NBC wouldn’t take for their own broadcast network comedy programming and it’s working out.

We hope it keeps going that way.

It’s almost 100% guaranteed that you haven’t seen the America on Hidden America (unless you worked on the show).

If you’ve got Seeso or a friend or loved one’s Seeso password, you can now start streaming Hidden America with Jonah Ray. It’s a (mostly) faux travel show that sees the underbellies of America’s most beloved cities that are rarely seen (perhaps for a reason).

If you don’t have Seeso, you can get it for $3.99 a month here.

Get ready for Jonah Ray to show you a side of America that you’ve never seen before on his new series on Seeso, Hidden America.

Why haven’t you seen it before?

No one has really seen it before because it exists in an alternate universe fabricated to parody all those travel shows that have become so ubiquitous on cable TV.

Well, there is a bit of truth amidst all the tomfoolery as you’ll see in the trailer.

Look for episodes to start streaming on June 2nd on Seeso.

Seeso’s newest series (yep, they’re keeping the brand spankin’ new content rolling) Hidden America with Jonah Ray finally has a preview. When first seeing various images of it, it does indeed look like any one of those dozens of travel shows that fill up hours of cable TV programming.

Yet, there’s something a little off in this preview clip as Fresh Off The Boat’s Randall Park is running a new “vegan” restaurant.

We can’t wait for more mischief like this to start streaming on Thursday, June 2nd on Seeso.

One of the many exciting new shows that’s coming to NBC’s comedy subscription service, Seeso, is Hidden America with Jonah Ray.

Jonah Ray going to the nooks and crannies of the good ol’ U.S. of A? We’re on board.

Here’s a teaser to give you a taste of what’s to come.
