Desus & Mero Are as Real as Can Be with Their For Your Consideration Emmy Video
Desus & Mero do a FYC campaign like only Desus & Mero can.
Late Night with Seth Meyers represents a pretty traditional version of a late night talk show whereas Desus & Mero on Viceland throw out nearly every late night talk show convention that you could think of right out the window.
Watch the whole interview here.
As we’re finding out more and more these days, prank shows from over 10 years ago blurred the line in regards to breaking the law and what they ordered comedians to do for a prank.
It’s just as funny as it is cringe-worthy through almost every beat of it.
From one former black late night host to two current black ones, Larry Wilmore went in-depth on coming up to being a black host of a late night show and all the highs and lows of it on Viceland’s late night show, Desus & Mero.
Larry specifically talks about his WHCD speech, how having some haters is good, and paints a clear picture of how being black on TV has progressed in recent years.
Also, there’s something kind of heartening about seeing Wilmore and Desus & Mero all together.
Desus and Mero Are Taping in LA for the Week
One of late night’s most exciting newcomers, Desus and Mero on Viceland, are spending the week here in LA to tape their show.
They even did a fun evening in front of a standing room only crowd with Deadline last night.
They don’t do live audiences for taping their episodes, but, maybe, just maybe, you’ll catching doing a remote segment like this one where Mero “puts on a three point clinic” at the Venice courts.
Desus & The Kid Mero of Viceland’s late night show Desus & Mero will indeed be spending an evening with Deadline for their AwardsLine live events series next Monday at 7:30PM the Landmark Theatres in West LA (10840 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA).
You can RSVP for tickets for the event here.

One of the rowdiest Christmas traditions around is Santa Con, which is much more innocent than it sounds. Several adults dress up as Santa and then, under the umbrella of ‘Santa Con’ get lit and try starting a party wherever they can, especially if a camera is watching.
Viceland’s Desus & Mero went down and tried to do a segment covering this year’s Santa Con. They knew what was coming, but still got more than they expected.
As pointed out by Desus & Mero on Viceland, John Hodgman is in a unique position to weigh in on being a longtime spokesman/character for a big brand, especially when it comes to Paul Marcarelli defecting from being a Verizon spokesman to one for Sprint.
Above all, you get to see John Hodgman, outside of his deranged millionaire character or being the PC in those Mac commercials, get heated about something.
It probably won’t make up for the wall-to-wall news coverage and the anxiety that you’ve been feeling for months now, but Colbert will be cursing on Showtime with Patton Oswalt, Larry Wilmore, Jeff Goldblum, Jena Friedman, and Nick Offerman as guests and both The Daily Show and @midnight will go on live tonight.
