The documentary following the nationwide tour of the Harmontown podcast will hit theaters and VOD come this fall thanks to distributor The Orchard. We were hoping it would get some sort of theatrical release after playing the festival circuit.

Also, Harmon is going to go on another Harmontown tour in conjunction with the release. So, not that #twotoursandamovie was the goal, but Harmon has done something that few podcasts have ever done.

Sony Wants There to Be a ‘Community’ Movie

Having pulled off getting a sixth season for Community right before the contract expiration deadline for the cast, Sony TV is aiming to make a movie and not be the ones to deny the #sixseasonsandamovie movement.

The talks are preliminary, but Community keeps defying the odds that, at this point, they could just make a movie about how the show made it this far.

We went to the sneak preview screening of Rick and Morty last night at Largo and not only was the one and only John Oliver (he makes a guest appearance on a great Christmas episode) making fun of Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland’s alien conspiracy (you can hear about it on an upcoming episode of Dan Harmon‘s Harmontown) great, but the two episodes were absolutely hysterical.

Rick and Morty could be the perfect remedy for the hole that you have in your soul for when Futurama and Dexter’s Laboratory went off the air, but now you’ve grown up and want to see a blend of the two in the middle of the chaos that’s encouraged at Adult Swim.

Please watch it Monday Dec. 2nd 10:30PM Adult Swim.
