Seeso Renews ‘Hidden America’, ‘Cyanide & Happiness’, ‘What’s Your F@%king Deal?!’

A faux travel series hosted by Jonah Ray, an animated dark comedy based on a popular web comic, and a crowd work showcase hosted by Big Jay Oakerson all get renewed at Seeso today. It looks the NBC comedy exclusive streaming service has been taking chances that perhaps that NBC wouldn’t take for their own broadcast network comedy programming and it’s working out.

We hope it keeps going that way.

(via Variety)

Comedy Central really wants to get into the Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder business.

Starting tonight, Oakerson and Soder will host The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder on Comedy Central’s Sirius XM channel. They’ll do live shows Mon. and Wed. from 3PM to 5PM PST. Like a true blue radio show, they’ll be taking callers as well, which should make for plenty of fun if you know Dan and Big Jay.

On top of that, each of them will get their own hour long Comedy Central special that will premiere some time in 2016.

We’d hope that you’d know Oakerson and Soder from their previous stand-up specials, albums, TV/radio appearances, etc. by now. If you don’t, Comedy Central wants to make sure you do by next year.

A Musical About Stand Up Comedy Will Feature Actual Stand Up Comedians

New York City will be the place where HA! The Musical, a musical about stand-up comedy, first takes the stage. While one might be skeptical of this, please note that comedians Christian Finnegan, Big Jay Oakerson, Shawn Pearlman, Casey Balsham, and more are already part of HA! The Musical.

The limited run of HA! starts in August and this cast definitely has us more than intrigued.

All working comedians have their hell gig stories and they’re usually all funny after the fact, but terrifying in their conception. Big Jay Oakerson’s story from performing in Atlantic City is definitely one to remember, especially because Kevin Hart will deny certain parts of it happening.

Watch as Big Jay tells it on The Pete Holmes Show.

Just on the notion that these people need to be on TV more, especially together, this should get a greenlight.

By big, we do not mean a title fight or two rivals gangs fighting each other, but rather something more literal. Watch it here.
