DCAY design “Get Riggity-Riggity Wrecked Son” by Sean Naylor

This past weekend, Gallery 1988 held an art show in tribute to the one and only Rick and Morty on Adult Swim. Several artists made some pretty amazing pieces as you can see above and below.

The opening was this past weekend and had, as you can imagine, a very long line. So, if you wanted to see all the works on display, you can see them online at Gallery 1988 and maybe even buy some pieces (if they’re not already sold out).

Gallery 1988 (7308 Melrose Ave.) will be hosting an exhibition of art in tribute to one of our favorite shows, Rick and Morty. The opening will happen this Friday, January 13th starting at 7PM and going until 9PM and the art will be for sale. The event itself has free admission.

Note that many of these art shows are highly attended and often form a line well before the doors open.

The piece above was made by Scott Listfield.

Art Sandwich Confidential is a comedy show at The Loft at Liz’s, an art gallery, where comedians will do their act then transition into stories inspired by the art on display. This time around, the art exhibition is entitled BLUE, so blue humor is the order for the evening.

With Ramon Rivas, Megan Gailey, Calise Hawkins, The Puterbaugh Sisters, Ryan Dalton, and Curtis Cook getting blue in the name of art, we think you shouldn’t miss out on this. In fact, admission is free (though there’s a $10 suggested donation to support the comics.

Art Sandwich Confidential Vol. 2-an evening of BLUE Humor is happening this Friday, Dec. 16th at 7PM at The Loft at Liz’s, 453 S. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, CA.

If you haven’t been to LA’s Chinatown in awhile, this Bob’s Burgers art show would be the perfect reason to go check out a neighborhood that’s slowly, but surely getting revitalized.

Also, it’s hard to beat gourmet burgers at a Bob’s Burgers live event.
