Enough with black walls, doors, and chairs. It’s time to see improv in an immersive art installation and have an experience that you’ve probably never had.

Bad Traffic in the Alchemy Tunnel, thanks to host Christiana Morgenroth and producer Max Lasser, will combine some really swell improv teams with UCB Cagematch champs WILD, K3WLAZN420 that does improv off your first experiences w/the Internet, and experimental darlings Funk Shuffle and an aforementioned art installation called the ALCHEMY TUNNEL by one Laurie Shapiro.

All of this will happen at Radiant Space at 1444 N. Sierra Bonita Ave. (right around where Meltdown used to be) on Fri. Oct. 11th at 9PM (doors 8:30PM).

Tickets are on sale right now $15 and you can (and very much should) go get them here.

A Video Store Comprised of Over 14,000 Jerry Maguire VHS Tapes Exclusively to Open in Echo Park

For several years, the satirical video art collective known as Everything Is Terrible has collected every single copy of Jerry Maguire on video cassette tape that they could get their hands on.

Their efforts have led them to collecting over 14,000 copies of the film Jerry Maguire which will now be used to create a pop-up “video store” exhibit at iam8bit in Echo Park. It’ll be like the Blockbuster brick-and-mortar stores of yore, but with only Jerry Maguire lining every shelf. The mere idea of this is ridiculously absurd and fun while also offering much more to dissect than other large scale art projects in LA like that giant rock outside of LACMA.

This is only the start as a permanent #JerryPyramid in the desert being built is a goal that this exhibit is ultimately shooting for.

Through the two week run, there will be live events including comedy from Kate Berlant, DJ Douggpound, Greg Barris, and, of course, some video mischief from Everything Is Terrible.

Start looking for The Jerry Maguire Store on January 13th.

You’ve seen Moses Storm throw the chillest birthday and then Kickstart a “living performance art space” for a whole month.

Now, he’s set to revolutionize something else that is also a departure from his previous work: traffic intersections.

Here’s Moses announcing INTERSECTION / OF / THE / FUTURE, which will be a real intersection that you can apparently drive by this Friday, Jan. 22nd from 10AM-2PM at 5810 Woodley Ave., Los Angeles, CA 91316.

We really don’t have any idea what Moses has planned, but the surprise is part of what’s amazing about his comedy/art.

The very funny Jason Saenz has been making some great some signs and posting them around NYC. Above and below are only two examples of what should make any and all’s day weirder in a great way.

We think you’ll probably want to hunt these down as soon as you see them here.

Follow Saenz Signs if you don’t have the luxury of living in New York, like most of us, but want to see if someone finds some missing letters, if The Beatles will get some help, and more.

Help Keep Moses Storm’s Modern Millennial Comedy Performance Art Installation Going

The month that Moses Storm had set out to live and breathe in his performance art installation entitled Modern Millennial is almost coming to a close. We got a chance to visit and it does not disappoint in being the wonderfully and comedically self-aware contemporary art exhibit that is lacking in nearly every contemporary art gallery around.

It’s also a great, funny distillation and examination of the idea of being that older generations refer to in disgust as “millennial”.

More people definitely should get a chance to check Modern Millennial out and that’s only going to happen if Moses’ Kickstarter for $500 gets funded by 10PM tomorrow. He’s at $160 as of this post being written.

Please keep #ModernMillennial alive here.

Remember when we posted about Moses Storm raising money for a live performance art installation called “Modern Millennial” where he would live a la “millennial” for a extended period of time?

Well, he raised the money and is really doing this.

Today, as you can see in the picture above, #Modern Millennial is now open to the public. Here’s the instructions to go see it at 931 E. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA:

Moses Storm Launching Kickstarter for “Modern Millennial” “Art Installation”

Hopefully, you’ve seen the comedic brilliance of Moses Storm throwing a birthday party at a Chili’s located inside the LAX airport.

After that, we also hope that you’d be ready for Moses’ next “piece” which will be an a “live performance art installation” wherein he’ll showcase the modern millennial in every facet that he possibly can. You know the millennial generation that everyone makes fun of? Storm wants to defend that, we guess.

There’s a Kickstarter for this project and if you donate enough, you could even be part of it and hopefully have ballet dancers just do stuff around you.

Kurt Braunohler’s Latest Project, “No YOU Stop”

As reported yesterday, Kurt Braunohler released/installed his latest project involving a stop sign with a twist of sarcasm. By our estimations, it’s probably somewhere in the Silverlake/Echo Park area of LA.

Seeing Kurt’s campaign for stupidity and absurdity in strangers lives should replace most people’s self help books.
