Every year at the Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy & Arts Festival, the hilarious Andy Kindler gives his famous State of the Industry Address, roasting the entire industry of comedy no matter how big, powerful, or famous anyone is.
Throughout JFL Montreal, one of the biggest comedy festivals in the world, it’s one of the highlights in the entire schedule and you can now listen to Kindler’s 2014 address here.

The countdown to the end of David Letterman’s tenure as the host The Late Show has already begun (even though it’s vague as to when that would exactly be). With that in mind, there’s a few things we’d like to see one more time on Letterman before he goes.
One of those things is Andy Kindler doing stand-up. Luckily, last night, we got our wish. Watch his Kindler’s here.
It’s unmistakable when you hearing the opening and closing theme of Saturday Night Live and immediately upon hearing it, you harken to the legendary sketch show. However, you hardly think of the band playing that theme and what they go through.
Flavorwire gives us a “real” inside look into that world, specifically when it comes to casting a bass player for SNL. Also, give a round of applause to Aimee Mann, Andy Kindler, and DC Pierson for this wonderful bit of “behind-the-scenes”.
As it turns out, Andy Kindler deciding the fate of a dispute between two children continues to be hilarious as evidenced by the second episode of Kids Court at Nerdist.

If you take daytime court shows and replace the claims by adult plaintiffs against adult defendants with claims by child versions of that, there’s strangely a very thin line between the two. That’s why Kids Court, the newest series at Nerdist’s YouTube Channel is really funny.
Also, there’s the hysterical Andy Kindler as judge, which makes this even more, pushing this to really damn funny.

Along with No, You Shut Up w/Paul F. Tompkins, there could be a more than welcome trend of traditionally live action shows parodied with a real life host and puppets starting to come around.
Andy Kindler Taping an Album in December
The hilarious Andy Kindler has decided to take this most recent comedy chunk and make it into album material by recording a comedy album at UCB Theatre here in LA.
On Dec. 3rd and 5th at 9:30PM, Kindler will tape his very next comedy album and you absolutely shouldn’t miss out, especially to see how meta Andy might get with his own jokes.
Unlike last year, we were unable to go to one of comedy’s biggest events all year long, The JFL Montreal Comedy Festival, this past weekend, but many of our friends over at The Spit Take, Time Out NY, The Laugh Button and Laughspin did manage to get across to see and report on what was happening.

Andy Kindler did a set on The Late Show with David Letterman last night and we’re so happy the rest of the country got to learn Kindler’s comedy formulas chunk as well as his transitions bits, and a third comedy technique that you’ll just have to watch the set to see.
All comedy 101 aside, it’s good to see someone finally get fun and loose on Letterman.
