It is just the first, full trailer for I, Tonya, but Margot Robbie and Allison Janney shine pretty damn bright in the dark comedy biopic of the infamous figure skater Tonya Harding in the less than 2 and ½ minutes of said trailer. We probably won’t be surprised to see any sort of awards buzz.

See for yourself here.

I, Tonya is set for theatrical release on December 8th.

Kate McKinnon, Tracee Ellis Ross, Samantha Bee, Niecy Nash, and Allison Janney Sound Off on “Why Men Aren’t Funny”

This is a nice counterpoint to that infamous, inflammatory, and completely unnecessary Christopher Hitchens essay from 2007 voiced by some of the most notable funny people around today that just happen to be women.

Sure, 2007 was almost a decade ago and there has always been evidence against Hitchens, but it’s always fun to skewer his Why Women Aren’t Funny piece every once in awhile.

Kitty Sanchez is finally in control of things.

Judy Greer has made a career off of being a comedic supporting actress, so much so that she wrote a book about it called I Don’t Know What You Know Me From.

Now, she’s going on to the directorial side of things with her first feature film as a director, “A Happening of Monumental Proportions”. Besides knowing that Allison Janney and Common will star and there will be dead bodies and sex at a school, there isn’t much else to go off of, but we’re more than intrigued to see what Greer comes up with.

Cavalier agents in extremely well fitting suits get to sit this round of clandestine operations out in Paul Feig’s upcoming espionage comedy Spy. Melissa McCarthy stars as an analyst turned agent for appearing to be the most unlikely person for the job of saving the world.

Jude Law, Jason Statham, Allison Janney, and more make fun cameos as well. Watch the trailer here and wonder if you could connect McCarthy shacking up with a U.S. Air Marshal in Bridesmaids with this latest role.

Spy is set for release on May 22nd.
