Rather than the “birds and bees” talk, you should wish that you got more of a “alternative”, so to speak, but still frank talk about sex like Little Esther Povitsky just had with Lauren Lapkus on her new Above Average web series Cocktales with Little Esther.

Watch it here.

Ren and Stimpy Creator John Kricfalusi Did The Simpsons Couch Gag for This Year’s “Treehouse of Horror”

When it comes to exploring the grotesque in cartoons, few have done it so well as John Kricfalusi, the man behind Ren and Stimpy.

So, naturally, scaring up the “couch gag” for The Simpsons annual Treehouse of Horror episode offers quite the terrifying sandbox to play in.

Watch Kricfalusi’s couch gag for Treehouse of Horror XXVI here.

Romantic Comedy Documentary “Meet The Patels” Is Getting Remade

So, there will be a true story version and a based on a true story version of this movie.

Meet The Patels made a splash on the festival circuit as it was a documentary that had the makings of a cross-cultural, intercontinental romantic comedy. Now it’s going to be redone with a script by Geeta V. Patel and Ravi V. Patel, the folks behind and starring in the original documentary through Fox Searchlight.

We wonder if they’re going to make a behind-the-scenes featurette of the remake of what was essentially behind-the-scenes of arranged marriage.

Jon Stewart is now a couple months out of being the host of The Daily Show and has found a great new balance in home life and writing.

CBS This Morning was chatting with his wife, Tracey Stewart, and ended up shooting the breeze with a very relaxed Jon leaning on the fence outlining their farm.

Watch how Stewart’s adjusted quite nicely after all those years of being a cultural focal point here.

Meet the Right & Left Brains of Casey Jane Ellison Styled as a Whole in BB Dakota

Casey Jane Ellison has managed to cleverly work in a fashion ad campaign into a fun web series where she deals with the inner dialogue between competing sides of her brain.

Called The Right & Left Brains of Casey Jane’s, she deals with her crazed life that she often brings on herself all while looking as fly as can be in BB Dakota clothing.

Looks like those Old Navy ads with Amy Poehler and Julia Louis-Dreyfus have some competition.

Amy Schumer’s Mother/Daughter Set For Mother’s Day Weekend 2017

Well, that just might be the right amount of being “on the nose”.

As Trainwreck was a rom com for those tired of so many of the rom coms of decades past, perhaps Mother/Daughter starring Amy Schumer will be the Mother’s Day movie for those tired of a traditional Mother’s Day, yet still secretly wanting to recognize the importance of mothers.

While it’s definitely awhile from now and perhaps might be shifted in the next year, Mother/Daughter’s premiere date is on May 12th, 2017.

Watch the Trailer for Aziz Ansari’s Netflix Series “Master of None”

As multicam sitcom adaptations of comedians’ lives were a thing of yesteryear, single camera adaptations of comedians lives with a bit more drama mixed in is where sitcoms as a genre are focused on, and rightfully so, right now.

Aziz Ansari’s upcoming series Master of None might be another example of why this sitcom trend keeps going as this trailer looks promising. Noel Wells as a co-star, cinematic look, and situations realistically drawn out from Aziz’s life (especially those dealing with his ethnicity and heritage) would seem to make for set of ingredients for something you’ll be binge watching soon.

Look for Master of None on Netflix on Nov. 6th.

Hell, or really anyone, hath no fury (because it would never think to come up with their own clothing line that shoe horns in the message that tragedy did happen in order to make up for inadvertently wearing a jacket from a company that honored someone that said that tragedy never happened) quite like Nathan Fielder.

Watch Nathan explain his Summit Ice collection of jackets that spreads the truth that the Holocaust did happen on Conan.

Also, you can really get the jacket and really support Nathan’s cause here.

Judah Friedlander Has a Book of Cartoons and Drawings “If The Raindrops United” That You Need to Get

Enter the mind of World Champ Judah Friedlander in the form of cleverly simple drawings that offer a much more satirical and hysterical experience than they might appear on first glance.

It’s called If The Raindrops United and you can and should get it here. If nothing else, you’d be buying a book from a world champ, which is, for our money, often better than being on bestsellers list.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller Are Developing a Time Travel Comedy at Fox

Anyone getting the feeling that any sort of announcement that is time travel themed was being held up for Back To The Future Day?

Now that Phil Lord and Chris Miller have got being the Last Man on Earth covered, Lord and Miller are on to potentially make the next great time travel comedy, which has kind of intrigued Hollywood both on the big and small screen since Back To The Future, over at Fox. For reference watch Midnight in Paris, Safety Not Guaranteed, possibly even Lord and Miller’s own Clone High.

Family Guy’s Julius Sharpe has written this project, In Time, which centers on the time travel adventures of friends trying to alter their present to their benefit.

There’s a put pilot commitment right now, but we hope this turns into a series order really soon.

So, rather than wonder about whether Nike finally released their Air Mags, watch and enjoy this instead.

Hulu Renews Jason Reitman’s “Casual” For Season 2

This is yet another reason you should be watching Casual.

With only a few weeks since its premiere on Hulu, Jason Reitman’s foray into episodic series on a streaming service has not only gotten great critical attention, but also an order for a whole second season.

Such news for online streaming series is good to hear considering Yahoo revealed that they lost $42 million between saving Community and creating Other Space and Sin City Saints yesterday.

If you’re really getting into the dark romantic dramedy of You’re The Worst and Catastrophe, Casual only further proves this latest trend is getting bigger and better.

The latest episode of noveau Odd Couple web series Roommates with Greg Barris and Bridey Elliott has Greg baptize his roommate, who is 16 years his junior.

Of course, it’s a much more “out there” baptism than your typical being lowered into a tub of water or being dunked into water. And by “out there”, we do mean drugs are involved.

Watch it here.

These Five “Baskets” Promos Could Add Up to a Teaser

At around 16 seconds each, these 5 promos for FX’s latest comedy, Baskets, following a man determined to be a clown from Zach Galifianakis, Louis C.K., and Jonathan Krisel add up to well over a minute, which is about the length of a teaser for a TV show or movie.

So, if you watch this…

…this…

…this…

…this…

…and this in a row, you got as much bang for your buck as you would had they all been intercut together.

Also, you should watch them regardless of them being short promos because they’re pretty damn funny.

Look for Baskets to premiere in January on FX.

More than anything else, this means you should be able to see Chris Rock dropping in a lot of places to work on his monologue in the coming months.

This should offer a nice contrast to Another Period.

It’s set in the modern day and it follows two native sons of Detroit, who happen to be in advertising, trying to make their town seem great again as opposed to the turn-of-the-century, ridiculous wealth of Newport, Rhode Island.

Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson both hail from Detroit, as well as SNL and Veep respectively, and they’ll be occasionally running into Jason Sudeikis in their trials and travails as “Detroiters”.

Comedy Central has got 10 episodes of the series lined-up, but a premiere date has yet to be announced.

Having a clean, simple, faceless interface to literally type anything you wish to query is part of why we Google anything our hearts, minds, and other parts wish to Google.

Making that process into something more akin to asking a librarian is such an awkward experience that it has helped make College Humor’s If Google Was a Guy starring Brian Huskey one of their best series.
