While the rock mockumentary of David Brent’s go at being a rock star is in the works, enjoy a tribute to the city where the UK version of The Office‘s Wernham Hogg Paper Company is located, Slough.

It’s got full production behind it and benefits from Gervais having actually been in a pop group once before. Give it a listen here.

Though you might have seen Rob Delaney on “@midnight” on TVs here in America, Delaney is overseas with a sitcom that he’s been working on with Sharon Horgan called Catastrophe.

Picked up for a season at Channel 4, it follows Delaney and Horgan as a couple that decides to give the family thing a go when Horgan becomes pregnant.

Here’s Rob Delaney himself giving more detail to the show. Hopefully, it’ll make it across the pond in one form or another so us Yanks can watch it.

Unlike in Sweden where Conan O’Brien has been hailed a hero for his comedic stylings and bearing a resemblance to a prime minister of the country, Conan, along with a lot of late night talk shows here in the U.S., haven’t made a big splash in the UK.

Fortunately, that’s all about to change as episodes of Conan on TBS will now be broadcast in the UK via TruTV.

This makes us wonder if folks across the pond are even aware of Conan’s String Dance, the Masturbating Bear, or Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. If not, they’re in for a real treat.

FX Networks & U.K.’s BSkyB to Co-Develop Comedies

For years, U.S. TV networks have developed many shows by adapting them from British formats. Most famously, The Office was adapted into a U.S. version from Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais’ UK original, but several pilots a year are indeed U.S adaptations of successful UK comedies.

With that in mind, FX and BSkyB might be cutting the adaptation part of that process and just develop comedies together for both sides of the pond. Hopefully, this will mean that we’ll get to see the likes of great UK comedy (Steve Coogan, Peter Serafinowicz, Stewart Lee, Dylan Moran, Daniel Sloss, etc.) in the States more often.
