Please Watch Tina Fey’s Full Acceptance Speech for the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award

A great hilarious intro from Jon Hamm is followed by a flat out hilarious, honest, empowering 20 minute speech from Tina Fey that covers her career in the greater context of being a powerful woman in Hollywood and what to do going forward in the coming years. It’s so funny that it borders on being another awards show monologue that Fey has killed for so many years with Amy Poehler.

It is definitely in the category of speeches you need to hear right now and you can watch it here.

As Entertainment is coming out, Gregg has decided, for the first time, to give the low down on his most notable character, Neil Hamburger.

For years, Gregg Turkington and Neil Hamburger were the same person, just in and out of character, but mention of each other by either one was virtually non-existent. Hamburger wouldn’t do interviews and Gregg really never talking about playing Neil and making a name for Neil.

Since he’s doing promotion on a movie centered on that character, he feels the need to answer any and all questions about Neil with full transparency regarding origins, intentions, death threats etc.

He answers a lot of those questions in this nterview with THR’s Seth Abramovitch.

Women in comedy are definitely having a moment right now unlike they’ve had in decades past.

Not only are Tina Fey and Amy Poehler comedy power brokers, but there are more female producers, writers, and directors making female led comedy series and movies.

That being said, there is still a lot of stereotypes and prejudice that needs to be fought against. So, The Hollywood Reporter had a frank roundtable discussion with Amy Schumer, Ellie Kemper, Tracee Ellis Ross, Gina Rodriguez, Lena Dunham, and Kate McKinnon about carving out their niche in comedy.

You might just be surprised the sort of nonsense regarding women on screen that still exists in 2015 as well be proud of what the folks in this discussion have accomplished when you watch this…
