Jimmy Fallon is going on a six city tour across the U.S. with the humorous stylings of, as said above, Julian McCullough, Nate Bargatze, and Nick Thune in October and then later in December.
Maybe Thune and Fallon will play a tune together or something?
Tina Fey stopped by Late Night Jimmy Fallon last night leading up to her hosting the season premiere of SNL and she couldn’t be more wonderful of a parent, especially for how geeky her kids are and how she addresses an apparent nip slip from the Emmys to all of America on late night television in a family friendly way.
Lexus To Have Improvisers Do Live Ad During Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
An interesting experiment is coming tonight in advertising in an attempt for you to not mute, walk away, look at your mobile device and ignore a TV commercial. In promotion of a new car model, Lexus is having improvisers take suggestions, then improvise a car commercial during the broadcast of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Our guess is that they are in no way going to call this “Whose Car Is This Anyway?”, right?
Perhaps one of the weirdest, best food demonstration ever to be on a late night talk show will have to be Amy Sedaris showing Jimmy Fallon how the propmaster on The Heart, She Holler makes edible cat poop because that’s what her character has to do.

Ricky Gervais to Tour as David Brent
Amidst chatting with Jimmy Fallon on Late Night, Ricky Gervais mentioned that he is going to actually tour as David Brent as a singer-songwriter. Exactly where and when has yet to be announced officially, but Gervais says that there will definitely be secret shows to come.
Also, there’s an attempt at twerking by Gervais at the end of this clip if you’re into that sort of thing.
It’s kind of weird that David Cross is going on tour with Bob Odenkirk and goes on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote it, then Bob is just busy, right and can’t be there?

The Final Episode of ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ to Air February 6, 2014
So, as it stands right now, on Feb. 6th next year, Jay Leno will step down from The Tonight Show, then The Tonight Show will move to New York City with its new host Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers will take the reins to Late Night.
While that might seem momentous, don’t forget that The Arsenio Hall Show is coming back, Chris Hardwick is doing a late night talk show of sorts for Comedy Central, USA is developing a late night talk show with Will Ferrell, and Pete Holmes will be following Conan on TBS later this year.
Basically, late night’s going to get a whole lot more exciting really soon.
Howard Stern made a stop by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to give Jimmy some cold hard truths about late night including to stop playing video games when he takes over The Tonight Show. Maybe he’ll follow Stern’s advice and usurp Kimmel as friend?
Nate Bargatze notches in another late night set by performing stand-up on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and we all find out that he’s just getting into the idea of having a kid though he’s not quite sure how to go about it.
Jim Gaffigan stopped by Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Friday to promote his book Dad Is Fat and just rattled off another whole great bit about food to add to his collection of great food material. So long as it’s funny, you can continue joke about a topic even if you’ve pretty much done hours on it.
Seth Meyers Replacing Jimmy Fallon on Late Night
All the rumors and speculation have turned out to be true. Seth Meyers was the frontrunner for replacing Jimmy Fallon on Late Night when Fallon takes on his new spot as the host of The Tonight Show.
No house band has been announced, but if NBC got The Roots last time maybe they can get someone like The Black Keys or something for Meyers?
It may just be a small detail here, but it’s curious that instead of getting a new set for his transition to The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon is just getting a makeover for his current one.
The replacement for “Late Night with…” has yet to be announced and they won’t be inheriting Fallon’s studio, so maybe, perhaps, whoever it ends up being, they’ll inherit The Tonight Show stage here in LA, which would be no small detail whatsoever.
As opposed to Bill Murray getting abducted on Letterman, Steve Martin greets everyone on late night sets in NYC including Letterman when he’s walking to the couch on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Zach Galifiankis sat down with Jimmy Fallon last night and recounted his very short stint writing at SNL, consequently creeping out Britney Spears when she was hosting, and the upside to hitchhiking.
All in all, it’s the type of stories we’d like to hear more of on late night.
Comedy legend Bill Cosby danced, made a corny joke, told a great story, messes with the band, and is the consummate late night guest/hilarious comedian on Fallon last night. It’s not like you’d expect or consequently get anything less from Cosby, but it’s great to see him still kill it on late night.

Oh Yeah, The Tonight Show Will Move to NYC and Fallon Will Take Over in Spring 2014
Sorry for the back-to-back posts about The Tonight Show, but it’s now all official, in writing, and we can hopefully move on from obsessing over what was pretty obvious.
No Surprises Here, Again, as Source Reports Jimmy Fallon to Take Over Tonight Show
Also, Seth Meyers is close/“being eyed”/etc. to taking over Late Night at NBC. As we’ve said above and before, this isn’t all that surprising. We’ll be curious to see what 11:35PM Fallon is like.
We’re more curious to see the entire landscape of late night, which now includes several cable networks (for Conan, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, Nikki and Sara Live, upcoming Pete Holmes show to follow Conan, and more).
There has been plenty of gossip and rumors over the last few days regarding the transitioning of Jay Leno at The Tonight Show to move to NYC and handing the reins to Late Night host, Jimmy Fallon. Even though the deal hasn’t been officially made, there’s even more speculation with Seth Meyers possibly filling in for Fallon if he indeed goes to 11:30 or Fox wanting Leno.
Again, this is still all based on high ranking NBC sources and not a done deal.
Having The Tonight Show move back to NYC might be a little surprising, but the rest of this seems pretty straightforward and pretty much in line with NBC’s current tone of late night comedy. If the worry is about the younger demographic (i.e. competing with Jimmy Kimmel), why aren’t they trying something a little different, tonally, like IFC or FX?
One of the best bits on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is when Fallon brings up that they worked on a Canadian soap opera, “Jacob Patience”, and the guest being interviewed was hard to work with because they demanded to use fake arms.

Jimmy Fallon May Very Well Replace Jay Leno on The Tonight Show
This seems like a logical move on NBC’s part, but one can’t help think of all the fiascos of trying to hand off The Tonight Show from Johnny Carson. It is nice to see the new energy that Jimmy Kimmel brings to 11PM on network TV as well as Conan solidifying his place at TBS along with Pete Holmes having his own show right after at midnight.
These are the moves that are making everyone other network that does late night join 2013.
