Alright, OK, well, well, well… two of the best improv groups in comedy history are coming together for a very, very special, exclusive virtual performance presented by the wondrous Dynasty Typewriter.

The improvised comedy powers of Wild Horses (Lauren Lapkus, Stephanie Allynne, Mary Holland, and Erin Whitehead) and Superego (Jeremy Carter, Matt Gourley, Mark McConville, and Paul F. Tompkins) that truly do represent so much of the crème de la crème of improv comedy are becoming the portmanteau of Super Horses, Wild Ego for this special night on Mon. Apr. 19th at 5PM PT/8PM ET.

No matter what platform or wherever this would be happening, this is most certainly a comedy event not to be missed. Fortunately, you’ll be able to live-stream this from the comfort of wherever you’re comfortably (hopefully) not gathering. Best of all, tickets are only $5-$10. Best go get’em here.

Superego, One of The Funniest Podcasts Around, Will Return for 6 Episodes

Together, Matt Gourley, Jeremy Carter, Mark McConville, and Paul F. Tompkins form Superego, one of our all time favorite podcasts. It’s as ridiculous as it is brilliant and Superego one-up each other in how absurd they can be in absurdist situations, but doing so with precision.

Seriously, go binge listen to and enjoy past episodes here.

According to this announcement, there will be six new episodes, 4 done in studio and 2 done live, later this year thanks to Earwolf and Stitcher Premium.

Even though the date isn’t announced, it should be something to mark somewhere on your calendar because we think it’s that noteworthy.

Superego Has a Winner For Their Editing-One-Nearly-40 Minute-Sketch Contest

Earlier this year, one of the funniest podcasts around, Superego, revealed the existence of a sketch about scissor repairman that they had recorded that went nearly 40 minutes known as Stetch Maldonay.

They weren’t sure what to do with it due to its unwieldy length. So, they opted to have a contest to see if any of the Superego faithful would be able to make it into something that’s fit for their high quality brand of short form audio absurdity.

Well, months after the contest was announced, they’ve found a winner in a submission from one Blake Fawley, which you can hear here.

We’ve heard it and it definitely meets Superego standards. They’ve also found some runner-up winners as well that you can listen to here.

If there’s any takeaway here, you should just be listening to any and all of Superego.

Certainly, there are plenty of oddities that take place during a city council hearing that has the floor open to any and all residents of that particular city. However, none are as great as the Fremont City Council meeting as done by Superego.

Kick off Monday correctly and watch an animated version (animation by Dan Hartshorn) of the Fremontians reconvening for pretty much anything besides actual town business.

It’s been over a whole year since the end of Superego’s 3rd season and today, the wait for the next season of one of the funniest podcasts on the Internet is finally over. Matt Gourley, Mark McConville, Jeremy Carter, and now, Paul F. Tompkins bring you another wave of downright, absurd fun.

Listen to the first episode here or here or both, so long as you go listen.

Superego Tries to Record a Few Commercials with “Country Star” Shunt McGuppin

Country music here in the U.S. has always done things it’s way. If Toby Keith names his bar Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, it might be reasonable to assume a country star reading copy for commercials, might likely put his own country spin on it.

Perhaps that’s just Superego’s own country star Shunt McGuppin that does that. Either way, ads could do better with a little bit of twang, Shunt McGuppin style.

Watch McGuppin and Superego attempt to get a through a few pages of ads hopefully without any censoring.

While we all wait as patiently as we can for the new season of one of the funniest podcasts around known only as Superego, they have given us all something to tide us over until September when that new season actually premieres.

As of this week, they have their very own YouTube channel where they’ve made more animated versions of their sketches as well as some live action ones that are just as crazy and damn funny.

We highly recommend binge watching and subscribing so you can see more from a priest that you shouldn’t be confessing to, “old timey” comedy duos, a meeting between Don DiMello, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and H.R. Giger, and “great” California cooking tips.
