This big time benefit for March of Our Lives, which is now focused on voter efficacy, will feature the likes of Paul F. Tompkins, Pete Holmes, Retta, David Kwong, Foster the People, and much more all hosted by Natalie Morales.

We have a feeling the line-up probably has a few surprises up its sleeve as the show gets a little closer. Tickets are going for $35-$45 and you can go get them here.

One of our favorites in town John-Michael Bond (he made one of our two Most Wanted Lists) is starting a new stand-up show in DTLA at the lovely Prufrock Pizzeria, 448 S Main St., Los Angeles, CA, (if you went to see comedy at Broke LA, this is where the comedy portion of the fest happened) next week, Wednesday, August 8th at 8PM.

Called Thrash, it’s FREE and has a pretty bangin’ inaugural line-up as you can see above.

Get more details here.

The Broke LA Music + Arts Festival is just a few weeks away and their line-up just got announced. As you’ll see if you go, Prufrock Pizza will be chock full of LA comedians whose names you should get acquainted with.

By the way, tickets are $15 for one night and $25 for the whole weekend to see everything (including the multitudes of bands on the bill). Pretty nice, huh? Get your advanced tickets here.

From the Hollywood Hills to Mar Vista, A Comedy Show has given some damn fun stand-up shows in a mansion and a yurt in a backyard.

Now, Michael Monsour and a secret line-up that we’ve been assured is stellar are giving a go at doing a show in DTLA this Saturday night.

We think you ought to not miss out. You can get tickets (and then the secret location) here.

It will appropriately be called “L.A.ZY RIVER”.

You’ve seen Kurt Braunohler have a joke skywritten, waterski down the Mississippi, drive a double sided butt sculpture across America, and more delightful things that really have truly made the world a better place.

Kurt and his wife Lauren Cook are now going to celebrate the impending rain in LA that’s supposed to come with El Nino by hosting a tube race down the L.A. River from the river’s edge to DTLA.

On top of that, there will be a respectful rain dance, pre- and after parties, and awards.

A date has yet to be announced, but you’re going to want to make sure you keep a close eye for what’s bound to be an early Christmas present for us all.

Get more details on L.A.ZY RIVER here.

Riot LA debuted last year and turned out to be the long overdue comedy festival that Los Angeles needed. Dozens of wonderful, hilarious comedy shows confined to just one block in Downtown LA made for one hell of a festival and if you weren’t there, you missed something really great.

Luckily, there’s this montage that will hopefully fill in some blanks for you. Oh, and Riot LA is coming back in 2014!
