Once again, Nathan Fielder exquisitely “games” the format of the traditional late night talk show panel interview by having Susan Sarandon on deck in case his stories are boring.
Of course, Fielder is simultaneously in on the joke while also playing like he “didn’t know” what might might end up happening as is his trademark style at this point.

Despite what Nathan says, he has proven that he is actually a great late night talk show guest, albeit a very untraditional one. Needless to say, Nathan Fielder would probably fare pretty well on Talk Show the Game Show.
While many television networks are looking for their next big sketch comedy hit series, we want to let everyone know once again that Conan and Team Coco are still making some of the best sketches around.
Case in point: this World Series sketch that begs the question, “Does the Boliviguay government disavow the World Baseball Classic due to their stance on sandwiches?”

Above smooth cadence and delivery, Caleb Synan highlights an undervalued tool in stand-up comedy these days: facial expressions. He really animates his jokes with fun act outs that hinge on what face Synan puts on for that specific joke.

There are many facets to the comedy of Moses Storm of which we enjoy. Modern Millennial and Terminally Chill Birthday are just a couple of Moses’ performance art pranks that got us on board for whatever Moses is doing.
He also has honed his skills in storytelling and stand-up that maintains Moses’ truthful, yet silly brand of humor.

You know, Butterscotch doesn’t eat children like Pennywise from It, but, because he’s real to everyone and dances the most eerie dance ever, he might be almost as scary.

The latest adaptation of Stephen King’s It is a box office hit, which has many clowns upset for allegedly promoting the idea that clowns are scary.
On last night’s Conan, O’Brien “let” one such clown (that’s some sort of unholy cross between Tim Curry’s Pennywise and John Wayne Gacy’s Pogo The Clown) “speak” to this injustice.
We’ve said it for awhile and we’ll keep saying it, Conan still has the best sketches in late night and this (written by Todd Levin) is just one more piece of proof.
For those wondering, that’s Andrés du Bouchet under all that objectively scary clown make-up.
Jenny Zigrino returned to Conan’s stage for another delightful late night stand-up set last night. From her dangerous posterior to summarizing country songs, Jenny went through a tight five and a half minutes we really enjoyed.

It’s appearances like these that make us think Nikki Glaser won’t wait to long before she gets another TV show of her own if she chooses to go down that road a third time.
One interesting thing to note…
We’re not sure if you know this or not, but, often times, when stand-up comedians go on a late night show and sit to do a panel interview, they’re still “doing a set”, but doing so in the clever disguise of an actual conversation/interview.
Nikki Glaser, who has done plenty of wonderful, traditional late night stand-up sets, give a great example of how one weaves a set list of jokes through an actual conversation on Conan.

Dan St. Germain’s measured execution, quick pacing and timing, etc. translate very well to late night sets. Thus, he does stand-up on television quite frequently and deservingly so.
With that in mind, enjoy his latest set on Conan here where, among other things, explains himself as a dumb liberal.
When it comes to antics, few are as committed to goofing around as TJ Miller is.
Taking a cue from Chris Pine stumbling into Themyscira in Wonder Woman, Conan O’Brien kicked off his week at the San Diego Comic Con in similar fashion with the ladies of Wild Horses (Stephanie Allynne, Mary Holland, Erin Whitehead, and Lauren Lapkus) and Ego Nwodim.
As Team Coco is currently responsible for some of the best sketches in late night, they don’t disappoint with this opening. Enjoy it here.
Conan O’Brien’s revered tradition of annually visiting Comic-Con begins this evening at 11PM on TBS and goes through Sunday.
Since Conan got all suited up for Comic Con in this custom made costume last year, we can only wonder what he’ll do to possibly top that this year.
