“Medical Police” at Netflix Will Be a Childrens Hospital Spiritual Sequel/Reunion/Etc.

“Medical Police” at Netflix Will Be a Childrens Hospital Spiritual Sequel/Reunion/Etc.

Rob Corddry, Jonathan Stern, David Wain, Erinn Hayes, Rob Huebel, Malin Akerman, Lake Bell, and Ken Marino once brought you the beautiful madness that was Childrens Hospital over at Adult Swim.

It looks like they’ll be up to their darkly comedic and absurdist shenanigans yet again with Netflix’s newly orderd series Medical Police, though, this time, it will be set at a children’s hospital in Brazil and include the threat of world ending virus. Also, they’ll be getting double the screen time with traditional 30 minute episodes.

So, for those holding your breath since Childrens Hospital went off the air in the hopes that it would live on somehow, you can stop (if you’re somehow still alive) because, we guess, it worked.

Many of them last worked together on the award winning Adult Swim dark comedy Childrens Hospital making this project one you might want to check out.

Here’s a promo for Mr. Neighbor’s House. It premieres on Friday, December 2nd at midnight and goes for a full half hour as opposed to 15 minutes.

(via Uproxx)

Know that seven seasons is a hell of a run these days.

Rob Corddry has decided to end the uber-absurdist Childrens Hospital at Adult Swim after seven seasons and the distinction of being one of the few series at Adult Swim that have won at the Primetime Emmys.

In an Uproxx interview, Corddry explains that between doing the show and starring in Ballers on HBO and everything else he is involved in, he found less and less time for a growing amount of his own projects that he’d like to pursue. Fortunately, he also wants to continue working with the same folks, wants the end of Childrens Hospital to be an amicable one, and has plenty of pilots and scripts already in the works.

11PM on Adult Swim.

We all get to return to Childrens Hospital once again and see the mayhem that shows like E.R. or House couldn’t handle (mostly because Childrens Hospital heightens the tropes of a hospital drama beyond the absurd).

Don’t miss it tonight if you’re watching live TV, again, at 11PM on Adult Swim.

This trailer has real life testimony, of some kind, we think, for one of Adult Swim’s most acclaimed shows, Childrens Hospital.

No matter if you agree with the random people in this trailer on whatever they’re talking about, you should catch the premiere of season 7 of Childrens Hospital on Fri. Jan. 22nd. at 11PM on Adult Swim.

(via Deadline)

A 7th season is a rarity these days, but leave it to Adult Swim to have several series far past their seventh season.

Announced today, Adult Swim has indeed ordered the seventh season of Childrens Hospital. It now joins Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, Venture Bros., and more in being among some of the longest running series at Adult Swim.

At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised at all if they got into the double digits in seasons as long Rob Corddry is still into it.

Here’s the trailer if you wanna know a little bit of the craziness that’s going to ensue. After that, tune in tonight for the season premiere at midnight on Adult Swim.

Adult Swim Renews “Children’s Hospital” For Sixth Season

Considering how damn funny Children’s Hospital is and the fact that it’s one of Adult Swim’s only shows to win an Emmy, we’re glad to see that they are very deservedly getting a sixth season.

Hopefully, they’ll hit syndication very soon.

Creative Arts Emmys 2013 Awards Winners

Congratulations to Children’s Hospital, Louis CK, Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars, South Park, 30 Rock, The Daily Show, Portlandia, and more for picking up Creative Arts Emmys last night for the good of televised comedy.

Hopefully, one day, short form and animated series will be recognized on the big night in the normal Primetime Emmys for simply being shows as opposed to the creative arts surrounding the shows.

Watch James Adomian Impersonate Madonna, Rihanna, Kate Upton, Louis CK, and Freddie Mercury at the Same Time

The hysterical James Adomian made one hell of a cameo on Children’s Hospital on Adult Swim in not just showing up as one impersonation of a famous person, but five people, all at the same time.

Also, you should watch this just off the idea that Louis C.K., Madonna, Rihanna, Kate Upton and Freddie Mercury are all on stage at the same time is pretty amazing. Click the link to see it.
