Many movie/TV adaptations often try to adapt to the time of the their release, especially if there’s a big gap in time from when the last piece of work from the source material was published.

According to Paul Feig, this won’t be the case for the Peanuts 3D movie he’s producing, set for release a year from now. By the looks of it in some of the first images and an interview with USA Today, he’s going to keep his word.

Perhaps, this will be one thing you will have come across recently that won’t ruin your childhood.

Peanuts is getting the full length feature treatment, complete with 3D animation, coming in 2015. Before you possibly get a little suspicious, Paul Feig is producing this project, thus we think it’s in good hands.

Charlie Brown is hitting the big screen as seen by the one and only Paul Feig. The fact that it’s not live action is a good start (i.e. Smurfs), but we’re also excited that someone like Feig is overseeing the adaptation.

So, here’s to hoping there will be a long montage of Charlie Brown missing kicking a football.
