Watch Promos for IFC’s Bullet in the Face, Supposedly The Most Violent Half-Hour Comedy Ever

June 24, 2012
Uncategorized

There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding IFC’s latest comedy project, Bullet in the Face, for its graphic depiction of violence. Some claim it might be the most violent half-hour of comedy on television. From this promo, what we mainly see is Eddie Izzard being Eddie Izzard and very little killing, which we’re sure is no coincidence.

While there’s plenty of bloodshed sure to come, it would be hard to be more violent than the South Park Christmas special that featured woodland creatures performing Satanic sacrifice. Also, Eddie Izzard will at least bring some class to murder.

What we mean is that “You Got Retweeted” on Yahoo Screen is so spot on and hilarious that any studio that actually made this into a summer alternative to their big budget tentpole release is essentially putting a dunce cap on themselves. Tonight Louis CK’s on Leno and Rory Scovel’s on Conan

June 25, 2012
Uncategorized

The last time Louis CK was on Leno, he replaced a DVD cover of The Tonight Show with his special, Live at the Beacon Theater.

The last time Rory Scovel was on Conan, he dazzled the comedy world with Jon Dore by performing, without breaking, simultaneously a completely different act right next to Dore.

Maybe, something along those lines will happen tonight because Louis CK is returning to The Tonight Show (NBC 11:35PM) and Rory Scovel to Conan (TBS 11PM)

In Case You Forgot, Louis CK Is Still Changing Comedy

June 26, 2012

Louis CK recently received the Webby Person of the Year, a title which he is continuing to embody as he announced yesterday that he will be going on a nationwide tour and selling tickets solely on his website. Also, he’ll be tracking any tickets that are scalped for a higher price to ensure no one gets ripped off.

All of this is happening while his groundbreaking TV series, Louie, has its second season available on DVD, he made fun of Leno’s face to Leno’s face, and season 3 of Louie is premiering this Thursday on FX 10:30PM.

Basically, Louis CK might have fared better than Facebook on the stock market.

He’s on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight on ABC 12AM.
