Morning Debriefing 8/8/11

1) The Down Syndrome’s Association of the UK finds Doug Stanhope offensive. The fact it took the DSA so long to find and be offended by a clip of Stanhope ranting on Sarah Palin and her child with Down’s Syndrome, a clip that’s been online for almost 3 years not to mention Stanhope’s reputation for going dark with jokes about abortion, denouncing AA, etc., really undercuts their public outcry.

2) Weird Al Yankovic will officially have a televised concert special on Comedy Central to air on Oct. 1st and available for purchase on DVD/Blu-Ray Oct. 4th.

3) Neil Hamburger and his Britney Spears Haikus; in case you needed clarification, Hamburger is winning the war online against Spears’ fans.

4) The Comedy Garage Movie is on Hulu! Don’t forget to catch them at the UCB this Sat. Aug. 13th at 10PM $10.

5) Laughspin interviews one of the fastest and funniest mouths in the West, Jimmy Pardo.

6) Comedy podcast network Earwolf will now feature the best moments from their highly popular shows with Earwolf Presents.

7) The LA Times explores the the power of the (storytelling) Moth.
