Of the shows that have been revived recently due to nostalgia and popularity of the show’s cast in other projects, a return of Will & Grace seems to be uniquely positioned to be a benefactor of a “Trump effect”. 

That is to say that the show’s premise and characters which include two gay men, a straight woman, a member of the 1%, and an immigrant maid living and dealing with each other will probably be commenting (especially given their recent mini-reunion) on what America under the Trump Administration is like, which people will likely want to see. 

It’s the sort of thing that we’d hope multi cam sitcoms would be doing these days.
