The Current Resolution Regarding “The UCB East Controversy”

After the controversy that arose from Kurt Metzger calling out the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for not paying stand-ups for their weekend shows, the UCB decided to not have weekend stand-up shows, then came to the final resolution, thus far, has been that the UCB will not pay stand-up comedians as that doesn’t fall in line with their model for developing comedy.

However, drink tickets will now be given to stand-ups that are performing at UCB shows where applicable, industry stand-up showcases will be put together at UCB, regulars will be added to the UCB performer page, stand-up will be added to the touring arm of UCB, and more.
