Pick of the Day: Robby Hoffman Consulting Group (Thursdays)
Dykevice with Robby Hoffman was and is one of our absolute favorite comedy live-streams throughout the entirety of this historic period of time we’re being subjugated to. Robby has proved to be one of the best sources of advice and McGill University ought to be proud to have Robby as one of their alumni.
This is just a friendly reminder that the show is still happening every Thursday, streamed live from Planet Scum at 7PM PT/10PM ET, but is doing so now under the new, slick moniker of “Robby Hoffman Consulting Group”. You can still call in or even leave a voicemail in order to get advice from Robby as well as the RHCG loyal who delightfully assemble every week to solve all your problems whether they’re the biggest or smallest in your life.
When all is said and done, you can (and should) donate to support the show and give thanks for the, honestly, priceless advice bestowed upon you from the Robby Hoffman Consulting Group.
Pick of the Day: The George Lucas Talk Show Holiday Special 12/20
The Sunday before Christmas, The George Lucas Talk Show, Connor Ratliff’s legendary talk show that he hosts as retired filmmaker George Lucas, is going big for a holiday special that will very likely go much better than a certain infamous Star Wars Holiday Special.
This Sunday, Dec. 20th, Ratliff along with The George Lucas Talk Show crew of Patrick Cotnoir and Griffin Newman will be joined by a cavalcade of special guests from far, far away (because aren’t we all far, far away from each other in this pandemic) for a 15 HOUR marathon fundraiser for Feeding America. We have no doubt that there so’s so much up the sleeves of Lucas’ satin bomber jacket that will fill that 15 hour run.
TWO GOALS FOR THIS SUNDAY’S GEORGE LUCAS TALK SHOW HOLIDAY SPECIAL:
1) to raise at least $20k for @FeedingAmerica
2) to do a 15-hour show that doesn’t feel as long as The Star Wars Holiday Special. (Any tips, @HamillHimself?)
The George Lucas Talk Show Holiday Special starts 7AM PT/10AM ET this Sunday over at Planet Scum.
The Comedy Bureau Field Report Ep. 35: Chris Gethard & Community Building
Chris Gethard has not only built his career in comedy on his own terms, but Gethard has also built beautiful communities around so much of his work. From his public access days to the cable days of The Chris Gethard Show all the way to his current podcast, Beautiful Anonymous, there is something special about the folks that rally around Gethard and his endeavors. This includes devoted fans as well as other comedians that Chris wants to shine a light on.
Gethard zooms with TCB’s Jake Kroeger for a deep conversation about the crucial importance of community during 2020 in comedy and especially with Beautiful Anonymous, a show uniquely equipped to offer connection at a time in history where we’re more isolated from each other than ever. Also, they dish out “hot” takes on 2021 Grammy nominees for Best Comedy Album and Dave Chappelle not getting paid over streaming of Chappelle’s Show.
Follow Chris at ChrisGeth.com, listen/subscribe to Beautiful Anonymous wherever you get your podcasts, check out Planet Scum here, and get tickets to Chris Gethard’s Live Improvised Special on 12/4 here.

Pick of the Day: The 10th Annual Sandwich Night 11/25
As Thanksgiving approaches, the time honored tradition of The Chris Gethard Show’s Sandwich Night is upon us. Despite the pandemic raging on still, Gethard’s virtual comedy network, Planet Scum, will host the evening virtually for the 10th Annual Sandwich Night. It’s the day before Thanksgiving and it’s a lovely Gethard-esque holiday where sandwiches are the the choice dish instead of the ever delicate-to-prepare turkey.
Potentially, this could be one of the biggest Sandwich Nights ever since it won’t just be celebrating those who stay in NYC instead of going home to celebrate Thanksgiving with family.
Tune in to this very first, completely virtual/10th Annual Sandwich Night on Wed. Nov. 25th at 5PM PT/8PM ET on Planet Scum for completely FREE.
#Pick of the Day: Mary Houlihan’s Painting Party (Starts 9/22)
Near the beginning of lockdown, one of the more delightful recurring live-streams was a morning show that was meant for kids (though it definitely had plenty for existential-fear ridden adults to enjoy) put on by one Mary Houlihan. Everything during this time has changed so rapidly and Houlihan’s show changed as well moving to night time and being a little less for kids and then having to take time away from all of that together.
Fortunately, Houlihan is returning to some regularly scheduled programming via a brand new show, all of her own design, Mary Houlihan’s Painting Party, streaming live on Tuesdays at Planet Scum at 5PM PT/8PM ET. Not only will there be painting lessons, but Mary will be playing old web games in what is promised to be “Bob Ross meets Pee Wee’s Playhouse” (perhaps, the perfect break from reality, right now?)
Mary Houlihan’s Painting Party starts going weekly on Tuesdays this week, 9/22, at planetscum.live.
Pick of the Day: Cage in the Park presents Night of Too Many Cages 9/12
This coming Saturday, there reportedly will be an event called “Night of Too Many Cages” that will both have something to do with tapping into the energy of world renowned movie star Nicholas Cage and raise money for Artists Striving to End Poverty. Also, we do know that Chris Gethard and his online comedy network Planet Scum Live will be hosting and streaming said event and it’s presented by, of course, Cage in the Park.
Other than that, we have no idea what’s going to happen (kind of like the one and only Nic Cage himself). It’s probably better that a Nic Cage themed event is shrouded in secrecy (there’s a little bit that you can glean from this teaser about a thousand Nic Cages though).
Whatever a Night of Too Many Cages ends up being, it ought to be some sensational chaos that you should be in (virtual) attendance for (as well as raising money for a good cause).

Pick of the Day: Who Wants $2.69? with Martin Urbano
Chris Gethard’s virtual comedy network Planet Scum has added a brand new show to their weekly rotation. They now have a game show with the oh-so subversively clever Martin Urbano. Even in the name of the show, you can see how mischievous Urbano is as he’s calling it Who Wants $2.69?.
It’s a trivia show that Urbano will have comedy folks on as guests, but you can play along with the show from wherever you watching. Martin has always been so stellar with misdirection and wordplay in his comedy and that definitely figures into the trivia in Who Wants $2.69? that he’s personally come up with.
So, tune in and get into what will likely be one of the rambunctious trivia live-streams on the Internet on Mondays at planetscum.live at 5PM ET/8PM ET.
Pick of the Day: Dykevice with Robby Hoffman 5/14
When Robby Hoffman is given the reins to any sort of talk show format, you’re in for a real treat. Her dominating persona whips up some truly beautiful chaos that Hoffman wrangles almost effortlessly. In the before times, Hoffman was doing just that with her take on The Chris Gethard Show aptly called The Chris Gethard Show with Robby Hoffman.
Now, Robby is set to bring this vibe into live-streamed comedy with a weekly lesbian call-in advice show called Dykevice with Robby Hoffman. Robby will indeed be taking calls a dishing out plenty of hot, spicy advice no matter what the situation might be. Dykevice with Robby Hoffman will live-stream every Thursday from Planet Scum at 7PM PT/10PM ET. Tune in here.
