Last night, Julian McCullough appeared on The Tonight Show and got to regal us all with both a nicely done set and a story of the worst time he ever bombed.

It’s great to see Julian go from, years ago, performing for a Pop Warner Football benefit to, despite what certain parents thought of his comedy, doing The Tonight Show.

For months now, Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith have been embroiled in a feud as to who is the better drummer. Last night on The Tonight Show, they had a drum off, for charity of course, to really see who is the best.

Jimmy Fallon is Taking The Tonight Show to Orlando For a Week

Jimmy Fallon has not only made Tonight Show history simply by being the new host, but he will be the first host to take The Tonight Show out of its home studio and shoot remotely.

In mid-June, he’ll be down in Orlando and will tape a week of episodes. Considering how almost every other late night show has done something like this over the years, it’s about time this happened at The Tonight Show.

Last night, Louis C.K. was on both The Tonight Show and his own show Louie. In both appearances, C.K. detailed his suspicion, given a certain situation, the worst circumstances despite the outcome.

One case was Fallon mysterious disappearing and the other was what happens with one’s kids when taking the NYC subway.

This week, Jim Gaffigan chatted with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show and gave a pretty great preview of his fantastic (we’ve been playing the our press copy on repeat since we got it) new hour special Obsessed, premiering this Sun. on Comedy Central at 10PM. Really, Gaffigan simply did a nice chunk of his act in conversation, which left Fallon slapping his desk laughing throughout the whole thing pretty much.

Respected news anchor Brian Williams has had clips of him chopped up and reassembled into rap songs for years by Jimmy Fallon and his staff such as this rendition of Snoop Dogg’s Gin and Juice.

Having had about enough of this, Williams came on to The Tonight Show and had a conversation with Fallon about this whole phenomenon. Watch parts one and two now.

Stephen Colbert to Replace David Letterman

Well, CBS isn’t waiting around to see what other choices might surface next year to replace Letterman. They’re putting their money on Stephen Colbert and it’s probably their best bet to compete with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon as well as draw a brand new young audience that Colbert has at his command.

This makes us curious to how Colbert will potentially leave his Colbert Report character at Comedy Central.

RIP David Brenner

You might have heard that comedian David Brenner, noted for his record number of appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and even guest hosting from time to time (only a select few including David Steinberg can say that), just passed away after a battle with cancer at the age of 78. May his soul rest in peace after a long wondrous comedy career.
