In a much better, more concise version of what the movie Transcendence was going for, Great Minds with Dan Harmon has to deal with their latest guest, Ada Lovelace (played by Gillian Jacobs), who is credited as a pioneer with computers, and what happens when she gets her hands on a modern computer.

Also, Dan tries his darndest to play matchmaker.

Watch it all unfold and see if they achieve merging human consciousness into computers here.
