Simon Pegg & Nick Frost’s Supernatural Comedy Series ‘Truth Seekers’ Will Launch Exclusively on Amazon

Perhaps the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy is getting a fourth “flavour”?

Indeed, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are teaming up once again like they did in Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End (i.e. the so-coined Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy) in Truth Seekers. Pegg and Frost will play ghost hunters that end up getting more than they bargained for with a paranormal investigation digital series.

If that’s the sort of flavor/flavour you’re looking for, look for this to come to Amazon Prime, premiere date TBA.

Simon Pegg & Nick Frost’s Latest Comedy Horror Feature “Slaughterhouse Rulez” Will Launch Their Film and TV Banner, Stolen Picture

It only stands to reason that Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will follow up the Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End) with a whole damn production company.

Slaughterhouse Rulez, which will put Pegg and Frost back in their wheelhouse of twisting conventions comedically within well worn horror tropes and archetypes, seems like it would fit right into the “Cornetto Family”. This film will be the first release from their production company, Stolen Picture.

With all of that said, keep a close eye on Stolen Picture as they’ll be aiming for projects, both for TV and film, that will go global. We’re only speculating here, but perhaps that will mean more Edgar Wright projects will get lined up soon.

Almost Legal Productions has already adapted 2004’s Shaun Of The Dead into a live stage musical and it’s now getting more traction as the likes of Simon Pegg, Working Title, and Universal have all given the OK for the adaptation.

Before you reserve your judgement, know that Shaun of the Dead Live encourages audience members come in costume, sings their own version of The Specials’ Ghost Town, and more.

There are currently no U.S. dates, but perhaps soon and it’ll make it over to the States and here in LA where we’re sure plenty of folks will want to see it.

Somehow, The Disney Channel’s Phineas and Ferb continues to be a children’s cartoon that, like Adventure Time, is something that adults can get into.

For an upcoming Halloween special episode, they will be having Simon Pegg and Nick Frost play Shaun and Ed from the awesome zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead, which should be to the delight of all of us grown ups who aren’t going to a party or don’t have to take someone trick or treating.

Simon Pegg-Monty Python’s ‘Absolutely Anything’ Scores Strong International Sales

The sci-fi comedy Absolutely Anything starring Simon Pegg, many members of Monty Python, and Kate Beckinsale as well as Eddie Izzard and Rob Riggle has done quite well in selling rights across the globe at Cannes.

The movie has only just finished shooting, but it has sold rights in European, Middle Eastern, and Asian/Australian territories. Hopefully, the American rights will be sold so we’re guaranteed to see Absolutely Anything stateside.

Monty Python to Voice Aliens in Terry Jones’ “Absolutely Anything” Starring Simon Pegg and Kate Beckinsale

Legendary comedy troupe Monty Python is not only reuniting for a live stage show this summer, but they will also be getting together in a film by their very own Terry Jones entitled Absolutely Anything. They’ll be joining an already star-studded cast of Kate Beckinsale and Simon Pegg as well as Eddie Izzard and Robin Williams.

So, perhaps in 2014, Monty Python is making a full scale comeback?

Lake Bell To Star In Rom-Com ‘Man Up’ Opposite Simon Pegg

While the idea of a romantic comedy called ‘Man Up’ could conjure up the image of stereotypical rom com that’s often written off as a chick flick, Lake Bell and Simon Pegg co-starring in ‘Man Up’ could make for something much more atypical and enjoyable.

Edgar Wright & Simon Pegg’s latest movie and third part of their so-called Cornetto Trilogy (in each of the movie, they eat an ice cream treat known as a Cornetto/also, Simon Pegg seems to gets more bad ass in each one), The World’s End, is out today. For how great, the other two in the trilogy, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, were, The World’s End definitely should be on your list of what to watch this weekend.

Here are showtimes around Los Angeles.
