Though several months of planning went into this project, the whole team also didn’t expect certain, damning obstacles that they encountered right from the get go.

Comedy Central makes another great move by ordering a talk show pilot from the amazing Kurt Braunohler. Braunohler’s Roustabout hasn’t even premiered yet and the network is already wanting more from Kurt, which should be a really good sign for what’s to come.

If you were at the last Riot LA Comedy Festival, you probably got to see the last incarnation of a Kurt Braunohler talk show, which featured interviewing guests with a lie detector test, several “mistimed” surprises, and a second line leading the whole audience through the streets of downtown LA to an after party.

Let’s hope that some semblance of that will make it to the Gettin’ Some Strange pilot.

Kurt Braunohler did indeed ski down the Mississippi River for his upcoming CC:Studios web series Roustabout, which, as you can clearly from this preview featuring such guests as Kristen Schaal, Jon Daly, Wyatt Cenac, and Kyle Kinane, will be amazing.

Kurt is also still raising money to send goats to Africa for families in need as he has yet to meet his Indiegogo goal. Do help him out so Kurt can say that he jet skied to send goats all the way to Africa.

Comedy Central Renews Review, Inside Amy Schumer, and TripTank, and Orders a Bunch of New Series

As far as we’re concerned, Comedy Central really has stepped up its programming over the last couple of years and did a great job in re-imagining and expanding their brand.

So, it comes as great news, but no surprise to us that they renewed Review and TripTank for second seasons and Inside Amy Schumer for a third season on top of ordering Another Period with Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome and Idiotsitter with Jillian Bell and Charlotte Newhouse to series.

They also have ordered six new web series for CC:Studios: 6 Guys 1 Car, 300 Sunnyside, New Timers, Pie Guys, Roustabout with Kurt Braunohler and Team Tiger Awesome.

It’s a pretty great time for Comedy Central right now.

Kurt Braunohler Has Officially Left Chicago on a Jet Ski Bound for New Orleans

At Chicago’s Navy Pier at 7:15AM, one Kurt Braunohler has made his departure via jet ski to New Orleans. His jet ski, you should note, is pretty awesome as well as it’s 1/3 stars and stripes and 2/3 tropical floral print. He’s also wearing a tuxedo wet suit, which we didn’t realize was even a thing until we saw Kurt wear it.

He’s scheduled to arrive in New Orleans next Thurs. Jun. 5th. and you can still support Kurt’s crowdfunding project to send goats and chickens to Africa here.
