There’s no way to know the extent of effects of this historic time of the COVID-19 pandemic right now (especially since we’re still in the thick of it all). Given that entirety of the world went through, there are literally billions of experiences that humanity went through over the last year and change. Rampant infection/death and economic devastation are some of the more obvious, colossal things.

However, the journey of individual folks is undoubtedly makes for the sorts of stories that will be passed down for generations, written in short stories, shared at the Moth, and be common ground to talk to strangers at a bar for several years to come.

Case in point: Comedian/clown/actress Courtney Pauroso’s experience in quarantine is something to behold. Just see for yourself in this “candid video” here.

Isabella Charlton Has “Updated” Her Yoga for Being in Quarantine

Self-care has never been more crucial in our lifetimes than it has now, especially with many of us being isolated by ourselves, not knowing when or how things will start swinging back to some sort of normalcy.

Yet, even traditional methods of self-care have started to get cracks in the veneer with the sort of unprecedented times we’re living in. Something as soothing and simple as yoga isn’t what it was a couple of months ago as shown in a pretty-close-to-real-life sketch from UK to LA transplant Isabella Charlton.

Enjoy it (and perhaps take some cues for your yoga workout while hunkered down) here.

Conan To Return March 30th (with a Quarantine Friendly Version)

March 19, 2020
News
conan o'brien, quarantine, tbs, team coco

You probably have already seen that Conan O’Brien has been providing us with the sort of bits and tomfoolery that made him famous from the comfort and CDC recommended location of his own home. Leave it to the likes of Conan O’Brien to keep the silliness alive during these anxious times of this COVID-19 pandemic.

Other late night hosts have been also “broadcasting” from home, but the ever clever O’Brien has devised a way to do his show by shooting on an iPhone and utilizing video chat to interview guests.

Thus, Conan, will continue to air in this stripped down version (that’s oddly both lo-fi and high-tech) on TBS starting Mon. Mar. 30th at his normal air time of 11PM ET/PT. Technically, that makes Conan entirely a remote segment, which is where O’Brien has truly thrived in the last few years.

We can’t wait to see Conan do what he does best, make TV history, and inadvertently be a great ad for the iPhone’s video capabilities.
