Just a friendly double reminder for you here that Mother’s Day is this Sunday, May 14th and that, just over two weeks after that, will be a special “Mom” themed comedy show at Chelsea’s gorgeous Café-Flor thanks to Lakshmi Kopparam and Sarah Barnitt.

Specifically, Call Your Mother Comedy will gather the most unique/weird/worst/amazing advice that your mother has ever given you and an entire panel of great NYC comedians will give their thoughts/notes/roast jokes on it. Joining in this belated Mother’s Day fun will be Ruby Karp, Vanessa Jackson, Emily Baker, James Mac, Brad Rickertt, and Christi Chiello.

Call Your Mother Comedy is set for Tues. May 30th at 7PM and tickets are only $10 right here. Also, maybe call your mom?

The games that Paul F. Tompkins plays with his guests on his candid interview show, Speakeasy, are just delightful. Case in point, letting Tony Hale as Buster Bluth finish off the beginnings of Mother’s Day sentiments.

These are hilarious, if not, as Tony says, “creepy”.

Hal Rudnick and The Screen Junkies Show give their own nod to Mother’s Day this weekend by having Hal’s Mom watch Human Centipede with him.

It’s as delightful, complete with all the motherly worrying, that’d you expect. Happy Mother’s Day everyone! (Also, this is probably as close as most of us will get to watching Human Centipede)

WHAT A MOM WANTS

If you’ve just checked out the site and haven’t watched the video, please do so!

Much love to Tess Lynch, Rob Delaney, Jill Kushner and Shelby Fero for participating!

(and yo, did you know Zooey scored this? Multitalented, that one.)

Yes, there are plenty of hilarious people in this video as listed above from new site, HelloGiggles, but it’s the first appearance, to my knowledge, of apparent comedy writer prodigy Shelby Fero (she’s 17 and listed by Patton Oswalt on who to follow on Twitter). Pretty amazing stuff all around in this video.
