Netflix Accidentally Mashes Aziz Ansari Comedy Special Subtitles With ‘Planet Earth’ Docu-Series

Did this “accidentally” happen or is someone at Netflix just having the right amount of fun making a feature length meme montage?

“Louis C.K.: Live at Madison Square Garden” Wins Grammy for Best Comedy Album

C.K. beat out Wyatt Cenac, Lisa Lampanelli, Craig Ferguson, and Jay Mohr.

Out of the 83 categories that currently exist for The Grammy Awards, one is solely dedicated to comedy. It’s odd that an awards ceremony so predominantly centered on music would even give comedy a nod because it still is released in an album format, but comedy will take what it can get.

So, with that being said, Louis C.K. continues to be on an awards roll as he just has won his second Grammy for his Live at Madison Square Garden.

The other Grammys winners are being announced as of this post being written and you can catch a full list over at Vulture.

“ It’s the audio from my last of 3 shows that I performed at Madison Square Garden early this year.  Some of the material is in the Comedy Store Special.  Some of it isn’t.  But it’s also a fun show on it’s own.  BUT since it’s repeated material, I’m giving you the option to set your price anywhere from 1 dollar to 85.”

-e-mail from Louis C.K. for Live at Madison Square Garden

You can get your copy of the album for anywhere from $1 to $85 here and you might want to do that as we’re not sure when the next time Louis is going to do a special or when he’ll do the next season of Louie.

With all of this to watch, we hope that you don’t have to find someone’s Netflix password right now.

Aziz Ansari premieres his latest stand-up special Fri. Mar. 6th on Netflix, Aziz Ansari: Live at Madison Square Garden. This puts him in exclusive handful of comedians that have taped comedy specials at the massive venue.

Get a preview of what that will look like in this teaser and this bit about immigrant parents.

If you take a look at Aziz’s last comedy Netflix comedy special Buried Alive, Netflix’s comedy specials are only seeming to get bigger and bigger in scope. Maybe he’ll play the O2 Arena next?

(via Variety)

Aziz Ansari is continuing his relationship between Netflix and his stand-up going as his next special will be released exclusively through the online streaming service.

Live at Madison Square Garden will be coming in for a release just over a month from now on Fri. Mar. 6th. Since Parks and Recreation is over, perhaps Ansari might dedicate even more of his time to stand-up and this special could just be the start of that.

Also, we’re not sure if it’s a trend or not, but it seems the title of many specials are returning to the classic “Live at [venue name]” model.
