Summertime in NYC affords many a wonderful thing, one of which is live shows at the man-made Little Island outside, beneath the sky outlined by the Hudson and the iconic NYC skyline. They’ve got plenty of programming lined-up for NYC residents to delight in.

Morgan Jay‘s dulcet tones, whipsmart crowd work, hilarious and emotionally resonant original songs would be quite the thing to enjoy in the Little Island setting. Jay is indeed stopping into NYC to play four exclusive shows exclusive at The Glade on Little Island.

Fri. Sept. 1st and Sat. Sept. 2nd at both 7PM & 9PM will be when Jay brings his charm and his nylon string guitar to serenade/rib/celebrate those in attendance and, best of all, it’s free to attend. Get more details here.

Though, technically, Summer doesn’t officially start until a week from now, it definitely feels like it’s here (thanks to climate change?). That definitely means there’s plenty of outdoor happenings that you can (and should) attend, especially in places that have seasons that aren’t LA.

For NYC, the season for live events at the man made treasure Little Island (near Chelsea/Meat Packing District) is subsequently upon as well and they’ve got big comedy show to help kick off this round of programming. NYLaughs, a wonderful org putting up free comedy shows all around the city, is putting up Gina Yashere, Kenice Mobley, LeClerc Andre, and Joyelle Johnson this Thurs. Jun. 16th at 9:30PM ET at Little Island.

That’s the sort of line-up you’d normally have to pay a 2 drink minimum for while packed in tight as possible in a dark, cramped room. Instead, you can watch this completely for free while pretty much standing on the Hudson.
