Already, the Vacation reboot has shown. promise for a no-holds-barred family vacation for 2015.
In this new trailer, there’s even more promise shown in the form of a foul-mouthed little brother.
It’s not much longer until you get to see the whole trip, as Vacation comes out in theaters on Jul 29th.
The return of The Griswolds, though in a new generation, and their quest to visit Walley World had a pretty great red band trailer a month ago.
Here’s a new trailer for the new Vacation that sneaks under the trailer rating system and still manages to keep in the spirit set by the original franchise.
Look for this to be one of Summer’s big comedy releases on July 29th.
This time, it’s nostalgic… sort of.
In this new Vacation movie that straddles the line between sequel and reboot, Ed Helms attempts to relive the very first vacation to Walley World with his own wife, played by Christina Applegate, and kids. So far, it seems to be nicely self-aware part of the franchise, including a cameo from Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo, that so many of us enjoy these days.
Of course, this being 2015, a few more things can go wrong to the point where you can make a red band trailer.

The Griswolds and their vacation ordeals are getting the reboot treatment as New Line is reviving the Vacation film franchise made famous by Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo.
As of now, Ed Helms is set to play a grown-up Rusty Griswold taking the helm in having a family trip go off the rails. The addition of Christina Applegate as well as Charlie Day and Chris Hemsworth,who are in negotiations to join the cast, round out what could be a nice continuation of the Griswold saga.
A few weeks ago mysterious Hollywood insider blogger Nikki Finke had a falling out with the site she created Deadline, one of the world’s leading entertainment news sources.
Well, instead of looking up all the details, we’d rather watch this “dramatization” by Funny or Die that’s pretty close what we imagined to what happened.
