Real life comedy power couple Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy will sit down to discuss his new book next week for Live Talks LA. As it’s is both of them discussing the book, we’re guessing that this’ll much different from your average “in conversation” event/book release.

Tickets start at $20. If you want to purchase a copy of Being a Dad Is Weird: Lessons in Fatherhood from My Family to Yours, tickets go for $43-$50. You can get them here.

(via Deadline)

TV Land’s rebranding seems to be going alright.

The Jim Gaffigan Show and Younger have been bright spots for the new TV Land.

Now, they’re on to expand their comedy offerings and stand out in an ever-increasing number of non-broadcast comedy networks with a new project from the comedy duo of Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone.

Friends with Melissa will contrast the varying careers of Groundlings alums ranging from her fame and fortune to being stuck writing for children’s TV.

If done right, this could be kind of like Curb Your Enthusiasm from a different angle with the lovable McCarthy at the forefront.

Melissa McCarthy Producing Odd Couple Comedy For Fox

Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone have sold another comedy project in 2013 making for possibly an era of television comedy where you know the producers names are now recognizable instead of heard about interviews or in books about eras of television. In addition to McCarthy and Falcone, Amy Poehler, Bob Odenkirk, Rashida Jones, Ed Helms, Louis C.K., Will Ferrell, and more are all producing various TV projects at this very moment.

We think and hope that the creatives being in control of the shows will continue this latest golden era of TV, especially when it comes to comedy
