Chappelle won over a crowded field of comedy’s biggest stars, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman, Kevin Hart, and Jim Gaffigan. In this popularity contest, the most popular won?

Obviously, at least in the public’s mind, this further cements Netflix’s domination in the world of stand-up as they’re behind the majority of the nominees and winners . With that in mind, it would be nice to see some indie comedy albums, or, at the very least, comedy albums from people who aren’t the most famous people in comedy get a nomination since they’re churning out some of best comedy out there.
