W. Kamau Kills It on Daytime TV

The View has been having a comedy specific segment called Joy’s Comedy Corner, which, to some of your surprise has had some very good guests. To name one, they’ve had British comedian Simon Amstell and now, they just had W. Kamau Bell host of Totally Biased on FX.

Even though Joy Behar claimed he’s alienating the audience the whole time, Kamau does great.

It Is Our 730th Day Up and Running

It Is Our 730th Day Up and Running

That’s just our really snarky way of saying we just turned two years old (like Epic Meal Time just did and Meltdown @ Nerdist Showroom will very soon).

The wonderful Joshes of The Josh and Josh Show we’re gracious enough to host an anniversary/benefit event tonight featuring some of our favorite performers/people Sean Patton, Kurt Braunohler, Chelsea Peretti, Jackie Kashian, Jerrod Carmichael, The Walsh Brothers, and some guy we have working here named Jake Kroeger (he was with us from the start, so, we kind of owe it to him).

Doors at 8PM. Show at 8:30PM. Bar Lubitsch-7702 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA.

There will be a donation bucket passed around during the show. If you can’t make it out tonight, feel free to tell other people about it or just tell them about The Comedy Bureau in general (if you like us, that is). Also, we’ve had a donation button right above the calendars on our homepage for quite some time now. So, also feel free to put something in our coffers because we’d like, at some point, to move our offices to LA proper and have branches in other cities (and stock our fridges with something besides saltines).

Please share, reblog, RT, etc.

Just announced this week, both Brian Baumgartner and Craig Robinson are starring in their own series through their boss over at The Office, Greg Daniels. Baumgartner and Robinson are set to be at ABC and NBC, centered around an airline executive and musician, respectively.

Maybe this is the true beginning of the end for multi-cam sitcoms.

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog Ruins Shots at Political Debates

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog made a long awaited return to Conan a couple of nights ago by crashing the last presidential debate, knocking everyone down a couple of notches including the president of Lynn University and a European reporter, and ruining every shot of every other show covering the debate.

In short, this should of been a segment they cut to during the debate.

Dan Harmon’s Next Show Will Apparently Be on Adult Swim

According to this tweet above and a few other posts yesterday, one of the many projects that Dan Harmon has been working on post-Community has been picked up; this one called Rick and Morty, previously in development, made with Justin Roiland. Luckily, it’s at Adult Swim where the more irreverent side of Harmon is free to roam and make us all double over in laughter.

According to this tweet from Roiland, we’ll have to wait until late 2013 though.
