Morning Debriefing 12/10/11

1) At 9AM PST, Louis CK will be releasing his newest special Live at the Beacon Theater on louisck.net. At 10AM PST, check the internet for memes and .gifs of said special.

2) Funny or Die continues to find the gold in the GOP’s garbage as DC Pierson plays Jesus in response to Rick Perry’s most recent campaign ads.

3) Plenty of you probably know this, but for those of you on Instagram (is that what people that go outside do?) Young Adult is now playing at select theaters in LA.

4) Add another book to your comedy nerd Christmas List: Mourning Remembrance by Jim Earl. What’s more festive than fictional obituaries?

5) Just when you thought the jokes about the Comic Sans font were dead, here’s a blog to bring a whole new life to it. [via JFineOriginal]

6) Our Facebook Page has a whole bunch of stuff on it that isn’t posted here or on our Twitter, so like it to be even more impressed of how great it would be if an entire team was curating the Comedy Bureau.

7) Here’s a response we wrote for the Nerdist regarding a NY Times article claiming comedy (specifically those of sitcoms) are over. Before you think it’s “preaching to the choir”, read the whole thing.
